WoW is dying (while still making loads of money with millions of subscribers), suddenly Blizzard is considering making Warcraft 4 for fans (who have been asking for it since 2004) supposedly. Starcraft Ghost was cancelled c. 2005, Starcraft 2 is ending the franchise's main story arc, Blizzard is unsure of where to go, fans want more, so reuse Ghost's elements in the same engine and release it episodically - only for the fans again (/sarcasm). Blizzard clearly loves its fans but it should be more honest with them about its background motivations, sure fans are a part of it but its all business in truth.
@ToadstoolPeach: They did make a boatload of money off their own RTS which is all that matters to Blizzard's financials. That other RTS are not coming regularly (although Halo Wars and several HD re-releases from Ensemble seem to be doing well) is other publishers' problems if their own are successful.
@Hagan: From various reports and experiences of friends having played the game (I'm not a rabid fan of the series), the game seems to have been significantly updated after release and actually become a good Diablo game. Might be worth a shot to revisit if you're a fan.
@amaneuvering: That was what the original MK was, the pixellation helped hide some of it, so it looks like they went for the preservation of the original style with this dropped remake. I'm ok with it but can understand it doesn't work for everyone.
@-esw-dragoon_77: In the best ending he's alive and that's the one some Bioware employees claim was used to setup a sequel (in a much earlier article). Of course, given the age of those reports, it will take more reveals to know the basic setup although it should be safe to say that if it is a sequel most likely the best ending or some variant thereof would be used when combined with the other reveals.
If Ubi can only make one proper AC game every two years then just release one every two years instead of bug-fest tepid games every alternate year while they work out the kinks with their engines and processes, not to mention how much slave-like conditions they subject their employees to just to annualise a franchise that ends up killing the quality of the games. Boring copy-paste objectives and quests, minimal innovation, lack of major additions are all bringing the series down.
@mjc0961: Before you started bashing, did you yourself use it? If you don't like it fine but at least acknowledge your own actual experience with it and give it a fair chance once it is released. If everyone acted without thinking like that the original Playstation controller (that serves as the base model for all future major controllers since) would not even exist! They wanted to copy the SNES controller until they were convinced to go with the claw-like grip of the final model.
@jport7: As mori70 pointed out, 13% is not a majority. You based your assertion on faulty data and assumptions, the publicly available data goes against that. Steam users are full-fledged gamers, not just Dota and CS addicts (I for one don't even touch those 2 games).
