Actually scratch my vote for RDR. Just played some more and realized how repetitive it is.

Assassins Creed 2 (Whole series, really) FTW!

[QUOTE="Jbller3"] There's Just Cause 2 and The Saboteur ACx7

I'm looking for something more urban. Saboteur... just not for me.

Probably going to sound odd... But I have put 10+hours in to the demo of Mafia 2 and Just Cause 2...each. I am not a huge fan of that kind of game so I never bought either. But if I were to buy one it would be Mafia 2. I love the setting, the shooting feels great, and the driving feels better than what I remember from GTA4. I can't really give a valid opinion since I haven't played the full game. But I would suggest Mafia 2.

We must be long lost brothers. I have spent 10 hours + in each. Mafia 2 has the best driving in a game I have ever played. And I'm still finding things out about Just Cause 2's demo! Little did I know that just over that hill there was an airplane... Maybe Mafia 2 doesn't have the side quests and little things to do, but going on rampages are what I like to do.

It appears as if the one that was most missed from the poll was Just Cause 2. While I liked it, I prefer more civilian interaction. Just Cause 2's main star is the vehicles and setting. Although, it is the most deserving of co-op. Imagine playing in the whole map just messing around with a friend.

Infamous was number 2 most snubbed (it appears). I never got into that game, not a superhero type of guy.

Saints row 2... I wanted to put it up, I loved it, but it wasn't as deserving as the five in the poll

Red Dead is winning easily. It's funny how unpopular GTA4 seems, but the reviewers gave it 10/10.

Whaddya think about Just Cause 2 though? How about Far Cry 2?

That's what I meant aboout Just Cause 2. The Planes and Jets are awesome, but there is one main city that is very small and lifeless. Otherwise your in the desert, jungle, ocean and arctic desert (talk about a change of climate in such a small distance) with small settlements in between. I have the demo.

Far Cry 2, I have reservations about. It's supposedly repetitive and not much civilian interaction. Far Cry 3 however, looks great.

I like an urban setting, and a good story. Mafia 2 looks good (I'm not "in" to side things like poker). Killing rampages are more of my cup of tea. I have the demo.

Any other similar games?

Fallout 3 and Assassin's Creed 2. LA Noire also deserves an honorable mention.

Best open world game with cars and guns?

I have GTA4, the Saints row series, and RDR.

I'm looking at Mafia 2 now. Anything else?

Yeah I had to cut Infamous series and Just Cause 2. I picked those that seemed the most popular.

Another that got cut was Saints Row 2, great game.

Red Dead FTW!
