@leechmilk5 @abHS4L88 GPU is what you need to be concerned about, not a CPU. Do you even know how computer graphics work? This isn't a system to play World of Warcraft.

@ken4062 The wiimote is kind of a standard accesory for the WiiU. The tablet controller has accelerometers and I have played games where you can tilt the tablet to do stuff (iPhone like). I also considered a disaster the fact that the Wii didn't have HD graphics and it managed to sell well. The games is what matters after all, and Nintendo still has some strong franchises that will help them sell whatever crap they put out there.

@biglittlejake I have tested some upcoming games for the Wii U and after having tested games for XBox 360 and PS3, using the Wii U was refreshing and made me think outside the box regarding the second screen. Love it or hate it, but I believe it has value.

@AyatollaofRnR a 3D Mario or a Zelda game is what will make or break that console.

@dz99ls If a new Zelda game and a new 3D Mario game does not help the Wii U I will agree with you. Until then, it's too early to make a call.

@edpeterson This is like the Game Gear vs. Game Boy portable console fight all over again. The Game Gear was vastly superior but stood no chance to the Game Boy.

@leechmilk5 @Celsius765 @Vegamyster @MW2ismygame As a programmer I have to say that leech does not understand that CPUs have been powerful enough for quite a while. The most important part for games is the GPU. Even people that assemble custom-PCs know this.

I like having all kinds of electronics, and to me having all consoles is the best way to go if you can afford it. Dissing Nintendo for something like a slow CPU is disingenuous to say the least. You should try and see the power and thermal efficiency of Nintendo consoles compared to PS3, Xbox360 and a gaming PC.

True, plus they are one of the next-gen consoles anyway, so I'll probably end up getting it anyway.

@danielpetermoll I'm not even sure what you are talking about anymore and why you sound angry. Kinect does not have physical buttons that I know of. I'm merely commenting because I'm a gametester and I get to try different consoles. To me the best thing to do is to own them all, but if I had to choose only one, I would be perfectly happy with the cheap Nintendo consoles or an Xbox360.
