@danielpetermoll @clsid @jagcivtec You can already do stuff like that with the Wii U. It is not on the same level as the Wii but it still feels pretty cool to do a couple of things like switching weapons and what not from the gamepad touchscreen. I don't know why, but with Kinect I feel like a crazy person because I'm not using anything physical.

@danielpetermoll @rogue81 I can buy an AppleTV and get a PS3 right now and I would get a much better deal than whatever Microsoft releases. No monthly fees to play online, no restrictions on used games, blu-ray, and it's only $350 for the whole thing. Plus the AppleTV is way better, especially if you have another Apple device. So stop wasting your money and do the right thing.

@danielpetermoll @jagcivtec Maybe not hardcore but it truly was a gaming machine that was a lot more fun than the other two, especially for groups of people.

Hell the only thing that matched the Wii experience was playing Rock Band on either the PS3 or Xbox360.

@Chronologo @FobusMaximus StarCraft did suffer from this too. If you played the original StarCraft when it came out, and StarCraft 2 nowadays, the latter feels more of a glorified attempt of recreated an awesome game but trying too hard in some areas. The game is still fun but nowhere as epic as the first one was. It was a combination of music, amazing story, incredible CGI movies that made you want to even cheat some maps just to see what was next, and of course the best RTS formula in the market. StarCraft 2 doesn't have the incredible soundtrack, the story, especially with Heart of the Swarm is kind of stupid, the only cool CGI is the intro movie and one or two gems and the ending is disappointing to say the least. I mean, compare having the legendary Protoss hero taking helm of his ship and ramming it to the Zerg's mastermind to a game splitted in three sections with just a human government getting replaced by a "revolution" that keeps the son of the dictator in power. Lol.

@zleerichz This is precisely why this is a big issue. We are talking about a game that a lot of people worked hard to make it great but it is ruined by some silly stuff. I don't see how Kevin could have rated otherwise, unless Gamespot has a system to notify people when a game is stable enough to warrant a purchase.

@GameBraindead Even with all the issues Diablo 3 had, they weren't nearly as bad as what is happening with SimCity. In either case, I believe that the aftermath of the Diablo "experience", made Gamespot realize how important this kind of thing truly is.

@Yuusha09 @eddieham13 I remember back when PC Gamer was a big thing, they did the same thing. Part of the score was measured in the stability of the game. Like it or not, that is a big factor of your gaming experience. I know I would have enjoyed Paradox games a lot more if they didn't have that many bugs.

@Baselerd Oh but it is even a bigger deal in the long run. What happens when EA decides they don't want to support the servers anymore? There won't be any way to play anymore. So in truth, what you are doing is just renting the game for a couple of years, as opposed to own a copy, which was the norm before.

@Shimoakki @MadCityTech @Baselerd So if you are a car mechanic, it's perfectly alright to buy a new car and have it fail, because you know how hard it is to get it right? But the car company can fix the issues in the long run... LOL

@Keledron @ragnar320 There are certain games like Civ where the single player experience is way better than the online. On some others thought, they are actually right. SimCity is definitely one of the cases where a single player mode and a multiplayer mode can happily coexist. Internet connection is not like power, that you have it everywhere, especially when you are traveling.
