People just need to get with the program and be smart about what they purchase next. Even if the next xbox doesn't require a connection, its still a poor choice. The company is unreliable in every aspect, they make you pay to play online. Yes, just to play online, where as other means have the ability of online play for free, with optional payment subcriptions to get more out of the service (Playstation Plus and its FREE GAMES). Same goes for PC as well, its free to play online. Also, since companies have started doing this online pass thing, if you buy the game used and do not have the online pass, thats extra money you have to spend on top of what you will already be paying. Financially, the xbox is a poor investment. Has been for a while. Unreliable hardware, causing you to have to spend money to constantly replace the system AND the accessories for it. Working in retail, when it first came out, I dont know how many people came in just to buy another headset because the one it came with broke. Its ridiculous. Microsoft is just playing people for the fools they are because they know they are getting away with it and idiots are supporting them 110%.

@The84thWolf I don't understand where you get this theory its made for the "casual gamer". A true gamer does not want a system bogged down with pointless apps and ads like the xbox has. Id love to turn on my console and just get a main screen for the system. I don't want to see sports news, game and movie ads, etc. That is not for the casual gamer. A casual gamer is someone who wants to come home from a long day at school or work, and CASUALLY be able to sit down, boot up the console and start a game. The Xbox is no longer the casual system it was when it first released. Its not as simple of a console like the ps3, ps2, wii, gcube, vita, ds, etc. are You even take motion controls for example. At least with the ps3 and wii you don't have to get up and jump around in front of your tv. Casual gamers don't jump around unless they finally beat that boss or level they had so much trouble with. There is nothing casual about the Xbox dude. Honestly, thats why a lot of people could see microsoft doing this crap. Also, its not up to Microsoft, Sony, Nintendo, to determine the price of the game. That power is up to the developer of the game.

@Daemoroth Actually, I found out the Sensor bar on the Wii isnt required for some games. Went out of town, forgot the sensor bar, tried a game out, and was still able to play the game, just without motion controls. Not all the games require motion controls, that's what the classic controller was for. So the wii without the bar isnt ENTIRELY useless, but a console that requires a connection, is.

@jtthegame316 @Venom_Raptor I wouldn't consider that being a fanboy. From what developers are saying, who have dev kits already, are even saying the PS4 is in terms of power and features better than the next xbox. They are more excited about the PS4. Don't try to retaliate and call me a fanboy either. I'm primarily a pc gamer, and still love console gaming for it's exclusives. Honestly, Microsoft is not known for the best business decisions. Look at Windows Vista, and Windows 8. Failed. They put money before consumer first.

@BryanParksSuper You are correct good sir. Xbox live is hacked probably on a daily basis, and has been since its creation. Accounts get hacked everyday, people steal MS points everyday. That is totally considered hacking xbox live in my opinion. Not to mention, Live gets hacked, or goes down unexpectantly for a long period of time, Microsoft does nothing, not even any information. Nobody should even try to argue this with me since I do recall some years ago Live being down for 2 weeks during the holidays. Now I'm sure that was a case of too many people getting on at once because I believe that was when they dropped the price on the 360. All I remember them doing was offering some crappy free underwater game to all users. You pay for the service, shouldn't you get a little more than that? Now lets jump to Sony going down. When it happened, Sony investigated(sure it took a while), and followed up by letting everyone know they were taking down the PSN because of a DDoS attack and personal information may have been collected. Now this is a FREE service. What did we get when it came back? TWO FREE games, valued at $30 or more. TWO FREE psn games valued at $10 or more. and TWO FREE movie rentals valued at $5.99 or more. They didn't have to give us anything as it wasn't even their fault it happened. They even got heavily fined for the attack, and still gave its customers free stuff. Seriously, which company actually cares about its consumers?

I'd love to see Microsoft convince developers that the ban on used games will be a good idea to increase sales. Consider most people will not buy a console if they can't buy a game they want used. If that's the case, if they don't buy the console, the game won't even be bought new, therefore actually leading to decrease in sales. Why is it that these businessmen who are supposed to be so smart, can't use any common sense. Sure you could argue they just wan't money, but if they wanted money so bad, they should use common sense to understand that it's a bad business move. That's what leads me to believe these rumors are true. Common sense, is something they seem to not possess.

@TURBO-BURNER sony doesn't act upon jailbreaking a console? Contact george hotz aka geohot and see how well hacking into the ps3 went over for him and everyone that got caught doing it.

@guahiatt @TURBO-BURNER @nightshade1127 no bc can actually be a good thing if you really think about it. The life of the ps3 is not over by any means. Think of it as a way of prolonging the ps3's lifespan so its not rendered useless and still gets supported
