@SteelVelocity You're exactly right. This world we live in today, people will spend more money on entertainment than anything before anything. If they have to spend an extra $20, they will. The rise in price of games isn't a necessity, but they know they can do it. People will complain, but still buy it. So stop complaining about the price. If you're that worried about the cost of a game going up, then save yourself more money, and don't even buy the console.
@hateyourface @clynch0527 And 9 times out of 10, people don't turn on a game console to get updates on music, tv, games, sports etc. they use a computer, or phone. so really, that stuff is useless in a console. Like i was telling that skiggy guy, the xbox 360 dashboard throws it in your face on every screen. the ps3, you have to pretty much go to the store to see it, so its actually seperate from the XMB
@hateyourface @clynch0527 thats the point exactly. they already control over 50% of the pc market. They need to keep them seperate. Like you said, a console is made for gaming. Adding certain social features, fine. Internet. Fine, but we dont need ads on it. we dont need it to communicate with mobile devices. Like you said, we see enough ads on a daily basis. And as far as the home entertainment system. I don't see my dvd players, blu ray players, cd players, mp3 players popping up ads, lol. All it has to do is play games, music, and movies, and it will work fine as a home entertainment system.
@hateyourface @clynch0527 well, if the next xbox is supposed to have features that use smartglass, which we know the current windows tablets use that god awful win8 OS, im sure it will be similar, or worse. I think Sony will stick with simplicity. they always have.
@hateyourface @clynch0527 pc gamer here as well. i was just pointing out that the interface of the ps3 is alot cleaner than that of the 360. its prettier to look at. like my desktop. barely any icons on the screen.
