AMD is horrible at releasing profiles for CFX though. Nvidia isn't.

evildead6789

not true , they are both pretty fast releasing profiles, with deus ex i got it the day after the release date. Only problem was crysis 2 , but that's because of the dx11 patch

Really, a AMD sponsered product did well with AMD cards?

I've had multiple ATi/AMD setups and I know how long it can take for profiles to come out that actually boost performance properly. They've been getting better recently, but it's still not as good as Nvidia.

[QUOTE="MW2ismygame"][QUOTE="Serial-No_3404"]The 560ti is definitely more bang for your buck, but the 570 is more powerful. Is the 570 worth the $50ish increase in price? That's up to you. To me it wasn't so I went with the 560ti with plans to SLI it later. Serial-No_3404
that was what i was thinking but will one 560 ti or 570 run battlefield 3 on MAX or at least high enough i wont notice the difference from consoles ? because thats why i want a killer GPU im leaning more twards nvidia but my guess is no right ? if not will 1 580 ti superclocked do the trick ?

A single 560ti will run BF3 basically maxed. I run BF3 at the highest settings with 16x AA and 16x AF at 1080p at 60+ frames per second. It looks better than the consoles (I have BF3 on PS3)

Yeah, I call BS here, I doubt a single 560Ti will max BF3 with 16x AA. And no one has BF3, it hasn't come out yet.

Edit: To TC, if you are going to get a 570, get a EVGA Classified or Asus Direct CU II. You can do some extreme overclocking with those.

[QUOTE="G13RainbowSix"][QUOTE="Former_Slacker"]

The 570 for some reason only has 5 vrms, the 560 ti and 580 have more, so voltages shouldn't be increased too much and oc potential is limited. That and it runs hot so you have to dl some type of fan control program. All 570s that use the reference design have this problem.

Former_Slacker

wait is the oc potential part true for all 570's? or just the reference designs...?

The only one that I am sure has more vrms is the asus model. The gigabyte model uses 1 6pin and 1 8pin pcie cable from the psu so it might also have more.

Pretty sure the EVGA 570 classified has more vrms, supposed to have the same vrms as a reference 580 and a 6 phase pwm.

EDIT: Not to mention the huge factory overclock.

Read the reviews from people who own the card.

EDIT:

If you are going to get a NZXT, you should get the Phantom for cable management and fan control. A 750w PSU should be more then enough for a single 570.

G13RainbowSix

ok so I read some of the reviews and I guess a lot of people are having problems with overheating and crashing under load. I think im gonna pass unless someone hear gives me a good reason to get it...

also I would rather have a mid vs full tower any other recomendations?

also I wanted to get a power supply that would allow me to go sli in the future... would 750 still be enough?

You aren't going to have much clearance in a NZXT apollo. I had one and it barely cleared my 6870. So you might want to check into a better case. I can't suggest any mid towers because I don't use them anymore. A good quality 750w will be able to handle 2 GTX 570s, but you might want to go with a 850w to have some good wiggle room. I'd suggest a Corsair TX850.

[QUOTE="blaznwiipspman1"] who cares if the 570 is at stock clocks and the 6950 not....thats not the issue here. The 6950 toxic overclocked beats even the 580 gtx at stock This card really is a true monsterblaznwiipspman1

All stock nvidia cards vs a 10% factory overclock card that can be clocked further then reference cards. That card can make a difference. I'm not saying it isn't a great card at all, but if you put it against a EVGA 570 or 580 classified, it probably won't compare as well. Still a good card though.

yep they're amazing cards thats what I was saying from the start. The value of this card just can not be beat at this point. Anybody getting a new card should just grab this and be done with it.

Some people don't care about price/performance and rather have the most raw performance, which Nvidia has at a price(usually a while after reference). Also anyone looking into CFX or SLI should know that AMD can be pretty slow/bad at making CFX profiles for game. I know from personal experience.
