[QUOTE="Serial-No_3404"]The ASUS DCUII 560ti is factory overclocked to 900mhz. It stay hella cool too. Great buy if you want to go the 560ti routeSerial-No_3404

I put up a Twin Frozr III Hawk. It's at 950MHz core and it stays very cool.

It's also a good $30-$40 more expensive. He can save the money and manually overclock the extra 50mhz if he wants.

The hawk is 240 after rebate and has a higher OC range.

If you arent going to look for a card to unlock then I suggest getting this.

Huge factory overclock and still has room to overclock even more. Performs better then 6950s.

Well you can't flash it to a 6970, but it should be fine if you aren't interested in that.

There are some 6950s that can be unlocked to 6970s.

6950 is the best bang for the buck if you can get an unlockable one with good OC ability. Most 560 Ti(s) already have good OC ability. Also, the sapphire toxic 6950 will only beat reference 570s, not any of the good ones.

The HD 6970 is a far better GPU than the GTX 570 because of the following reasons:

  • HD 6970 is usually faster in games
  • HD 6970 scales much better in a multi-GPU setup
  • HD 6970 has more VRAM
  • HD 6970 has MLAA which can provide anti-aliasing on nearly any PC game out there (even those games that don't normally support anti-aliasing). Nvidia has no such all-games-encompassing anti-aliasing solution. And anti-aliasing (in general) is a much bigger deal than Nvidia's Physx.

The two 570s I mentioned can smoke any 6970.

Not MUCH better, but just a bit better, the 570s can still be faster even with less scaling.

There are 2560MB versions of the 570

I've used MLAA and it isn't anything incredible, FXAA has been proven to be better. And don't compare it to something it has nothing to do with.

If you are going to buy a factory overclocked 570, either get a EVGA classified or Asus Direct CUII. They come with more VRMs, which are needed for overclocking, while reference 570s don't have enough.

I use MLAA and it isn't anything special.
