You could always sell the 6670 and put the money towards the psu.

adamosmaki

agree here. You can probably sell it for $30-40 easily even $50-60 if you are lucky As for the Psu if you found the corsair a bit expensive (though for a 600W quality unit its a great price ) you can get the 500W corsair builder series for $10 less

The 600W has a $10 promo code and free shipping, it should come to about 12 bucks less then the 500W after rebate.

That's quite an impressive price for an FX4100/6670 equipped system.

--EDIT-- And nice find on that power supply configme. I can't find a cheaper power supply on Newegg that'll be suitable for the TC's system.

GS550L

Twas luck that it was on sale.

Im undecided between a gtx 580 or an AMd 7970, so one of those.

MuD3

Why not a GTX 680?

if you are buying this soon then definitely get a 680. i don't think the price difference is worth getting a 580 right now.

Not to mention 7970s are more expensive then 680s and don't perform as well overall.

I've spent thousands of dollars the past few years on different builds, the bill adds up quickly.

No problem, you should always research prebuilt computers thoroughly to check if you can upgrade in the future.

My heart skipped a beat when I saw the price haha. I didn't know PSUs were so damn expensive. Alright well thank you very much it looks like exactly what I need. One last thing, is hooking that badboy up going to take hours or is it reasonably simple?

sirkoady

The final price on that PSU being a better quality product is pretty cheap for a 600W. I still have my Corsair TX750W that I purchased 3.5 years ago and it has never had a problem. The only thing I could see as time consuming is cable management. Cable management being flowing the power cables through the backside panel of the case and plugging everything in while making it look nice and neat, if that concerns you.
