@slappy54: but if they didn't check those boxes peeps feels might get hurt about not being included in World War 1, ya know, because it was a pretty awesome time that nobody should be excluded from because of the color of their skin or gender or historical facts.
Because I am the kind of mindless fanboy that keeps Square in business I just downloaded it and yup, no quicksave or autosave feature. I cant wait to be on the subway in the middle of a huge dungeon w no save point close by when I have to get off at my stop and then lose all of my progress. Thanks for ruining another mobile port by not including the most basic and obvious feature required universally for mobile gaming! Square sh1ts on its fans so much its the R. Kelley of video games, yet I keep coming back. I guess Im sick too.
I'm both excited and mad, excited because FF9 is a masterpiece, one of my all time fave jrpgs but mad because most square mobile ports are totally unplayable in a genuine mobile situation because there either isn't an auto-save or it doesn't work worth a %$&* so you constantly lose progress every time you have to close your phone to exit a bus or train.
@Dark_sageX: ha I like your attempt at wit, its cute, but no world exploration and QTEs would be MORE like turn based combat because that would remove player agency. Do you really see a lot of depth and dynamic gameplay in selecting "fight" and watching your characters perform the same animations over a million times per play-through? Actually what is a turn based battle if not a QTE? You gets the prompt, you hits the button, you watch the game play itself while you sips your Mt. Dew.
