One thing consoles have that PCs never will: the racist children of XBL. Sure you PC snobs may say foo to that while cowering from behind the protection of your cybernetic ivory towers, but here, in the dirty trash strewn streets of XBL, thats the way it goes down. You gotta go for yours without pity or get iced in a back alley by a gang of foul mouthed 8 year olds. Go hard or go home dawgz.
Actually after having watched the trailer I'm thinking, maybe it would be really cool to play frostbite engine powered World War 2 shooter? Something as frenetic and realistic as this but set in a different era to freshen it up? Is that crazy? Yeah there was a mind-numbing glut of half-@$$ World War 2 games, but that was a while ago, now I feel like there is a serious amount of fatigue with modern warfare clones. I want the *legit* Brother in Arms 4 (not that furious four crap)!
EA should make a Civil War shooter, where it takes 40 secs to reload, you're trapped in a mass of people charging forward, and you get killed completely at random. There could even be an amputation mini-game!
@deadrock25 Fallout 3 is really really old now, I don't see how this is a relevant comparison. Old games=marked down, new games=more expensive, is this new info?
@toffifee Yeah I don't really know what Bethesda's difficulties are with bugs, I assume they want to avoid them and devote resources towards eliminating them. Maybe its an inherent fault in the Gamebryo/Creation engine? After all, every Bethesda game you've played since Morrowind has been based on it. Also there are other games as or close to as massive in scope, Red Dead Redemption (and every GTA) was enormous and pretty bug free.
@wilson336 I'm glad you brought this up, its a good analogy though I think it supports my point more than detracts from it. Da Vinci actually did sketch plans for various flying machines, so having him supply one is a pretty believable form of historical fantasy. The costume in AC3 however just seems crammed in and totally ahistorical, yeah in the big scheme of things its minor but you;re going to be looking at it for the whole game and it makes me worry about anachronisms in the rest of the game. Then again I'm a big history buff so I probably disproportionally care about that kind of thing more than most gamers.
