Wii, Gamecube, N64, Snes, Nes, Atari, Psx, PSP, Xbox, Gaming PC. I am mainly a PC gamer despite me owning all of these consoles.
[QUOTE="Welis"] If i didn't have a sister and two brothers, i would afford both. :-) CelineDionThen I guess I'd ask myself how much time I wanted to spend gaming vs. fiddling with drivers and patches. :| All you do for drivers is just go to the Nvidia or ATI website and download the most recent driver they have and install it. Then you're done A lot of games come with auto updaters, and at the very least they will direct you to the proper website to download the patch. Then it'll take a whole 2-3 minutes to install the update You act is if you will spend a lot of time messing around with drivers and patches. It's just not true unless you have no idea what you're doing.
The game looks okay, I myself stopped playing after number 2. I wasn't too impressed with the graphics or the gameplay, I mean they looked nice but I was expecting better. To me the Metal Gear Solid series just went downhil, much like the Halo series did.Lol you have no idea how good this game is going to be.
The recent 4 part gameplay vids blew me away

psp games look betterM0rph0_oThat was just a fanboy'ish statement. You know PSP games don't look that good.
[QUOTE="coolviper2003"][QUOTE="SergeantSnitch"]You act as if the upgrades would only benefit Crysis. There are other games coming out ya know. Alan Wake, UT3 to name a few..... Upgrading for Crysis just means you'll be able to play any game for the next few years. You possibly couldn't be a pc gamer, otherwise you would have known that and not have spent $950 to upgrade your computer for one game :roll:Not saying Farcry is bad, just that, do Hermits really want to spend a fortune to run an updated version of Farcry? I don't see a real evolution in gameplay.
Btw, I spent the money on upgrades so I can run the game when it comes out.

Not just one game, other games too. Sadly, I have an Xbox 360 so I can run Alan Wake without having to spend even more money on this damned computer. Let me tell you something, putting thermal paste on and then the heatsink isn't fun, especially when you've never done it before. I think upgrading my computer has taken years off my life!
If you can run Crysis, you'll run Alan Wake just fine. Do you honestly think the 360 version of Alan Wake would look better then on your $1000 PC? If you spent the money, might as well get it on the PC. I bet you anything it'll look better on your PC. The 360 is just a poor mans gaming PC that charges you for online play. Now that you have a real gaming PC, might as well put it to use.
