[QUOTE="slabber44"]The Valve value pack on Steam has a bunch of top notch games all for $49.99. It's gotta be one of the best complete packs being offered. Covers different genres, has great single player and multiplayer games. I think you would be crazy to pass it up if you've never played any of them. HIGHLY Recommend! 24 games total, and all multiplayer games still have very active communities, not to mention all the different mods that are also available with the source engine.DavalPrestor
OMG. Just checked that package out and there are games for more than a year

Where is this pack just for interests sake? Like I went to steam and then went Dev packs and I can see the THQ and other packs but not the valve one.

Half life complete pack. If you buy anything, buy the half life pack. The HL games will make you look at other games in a different way. It has an extrodinary story, epic imersion, great shooting, really good pyhsics, great puzzles ect. Really you can't go wrong with the Half life games. Also RUSE is $10 atm and I highly reccemend it aswell.

So with the year coming closer to an end and still no Half Life 2Episode 3 it made me start thinking about how hard it will hit when news of the game and the game itself come. I mean if Valve even gives one little hint to anything to do with release dates/trailers or even just stating they are actually working on it the internet will go crazy. The half life series will be the most played game on steam, the forumgoers won't talk about anything else and when another thread about another game manages to stay on the first page it'll be becuase everyone will be discussing how HL2: Ep3 will own that game. Will we even look away from our PC's? Everyone will be spamming F5 on the Valve page every second and everyone will be looking for any secret hints for years after Valve says anything. So they are some of my predictions, what are some of yours?

You might want to check out Red Orchestra 1 as it's pretty much what you described. Also Red Orchestra 2: heroes of stalingrad, is WW2 based and has some interesting design decisions. It more a realistic shooter though, it's not arcady like COD it's more like ARMA. It is set to release soon for under $50 and is being developed by Tripwire, so it isn't a lackluster console port, did I mention 2 full single player campiagns and up to 64 player multiplayer? Yep it's going to be epic, I'd recommend watching videos before you dismiss it :)

So long story short I have never really played an RPG. I played about 10 hours of ME2 but my laptop wasn't very good and it was very slow and it crashed alot so it really wasn't one of my favorite games. I also own and play once in awhile some Mount and Blade but its really not story driven. Now I'm open for pretty much anything but I do have some questions about some RPG's I have been looking into. Q1. I am intrested in Divinity II: The Dragon Knight Saga but there is a very mixed opinion about this game, some people love it and feel its very underapreciated and others thought it was terrible so I need some of your opinions and maybe an overveiw of what the game boasts (open world, changing from dragon to hum ect) Q2. I was also looking at Gothic series but the reviews and opinions on this were that it was pretty mediocre but then when I read things about how big anf open the world is I get intrested again so yeah opinions on any and all of the Gothic games? Q3.Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines is always talked about by older gamers andseems to be loved by many older gamers, is it a good RPGcompared to any other RPG's releasedin the past couple of years? Also I heard the combat s awful so yeah any opinions/help is apreciated. Also I'm intrested in any other RPG's you can think of, just give me a descrption of what makes them worth my money. I would like an RPG that would run on a mid-range - low-end laptop (no witcher 2 sadly) I love the idea of an open world but it doesn't matter if it is linear/non-open world as long as the story/characters make up for it. So yeah suggest me a superb RPG. Thanks. Also I wouldn't mind some pre-order suggestions, like so I can get ready for good RPG's coming soon, like skyrim ect.

PS: I'm playing the Deus Ex Human Revolution leaked beta thingy and am already saving money to buy it, seems like a really solid game, so yeah don't reccomend me that :)

Could I have some help please? Hey, I downloaded the beta and I like the concept of the game an awful lot. I'm having preformance issues though. If I run in fullscreen, 1280x720 (the lowest if will allow on my laptop) and in the good graphics settings I get the game to launch, I make a match ect. The problem then is that the game is very choppy and slow, evey mouse movement takes a couple of seconds before I actually turn the camera and sprint takes a couple of seconds to register. Now I decided it would be the graphics, so I turn the settings to fastest, the game was still choppy( A little less though) and when I went toplay I couldn't read anything (pic here http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/835/etherealbuild28june2011.png/ ) If I'm the only one getting these issues I'll say it is probably becuase my laptop is very hot so I will try again tommorow when it has cooled down. If I'm not the only person or it isn't my laptop overheating, is there anyway to fix this? Is it a really high graphics game and my PC just can't handle it or is there something I'm doing wrong. Also seems like a great game and if your trying to get some attention I really recomend nudging Totalbiscuit, he does a series called the WTF is... series and he pretty muchshows whats good and bad about games and he does indie games the most. His channel http://www.youtube.com/user/TotalHalibut, one of his recent WTF is videos http://www.youtube.com/user/TotalHalibut#p/c/2272A4EE84269E1F/2/NHqA3ZBU-2o, in the description of the video it says "If you'd like your game featured on our WTF is? series, please contact PR[at]cynicalbrit.com" So I would reccomend contacting him as the WTF is Solar 2 video gave alot of new sales (best selling on steam for three days after that video was released) So if your game is good (it looks like it is) then he will bring in alot more Beta participants. So yeah contact him for some publicity. Also I imagine your located in the US somewhere and me being an Austrialia is worried that the game won't have any Aussie servers, will you guys add Official servers or will I just have to hope that enough Aussies buy/play it to make some quality custom servers? Thanks for sharing the beta with us and I hope my issues are just some thing easily fixable. Thanks!

Hey guys, so I have been thinking about pre-ordering HoMM VI for awhile now and after watching The yogscasts video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T7oxNBahCXs) I'm going to have to pick this up. When I saw the gameplay I was like "Why haven't I played any games like this yet" "this looks so cool". So yes I'm going to purchase HoMMVI but in the end of the video Lewis states he thought Kings bounty was a good game that played like HoMMVI. So my question is, should I get the two Heroes Bounty games and play them while I wait for HoMM VI or should I pre-order HoMMVI and play the beta? Thanks guys/girls.
