If you had to pick out of the list, which FPS do you think is currently the best overall?

For me it's a toss up between CoD4 and Bioshock. Single player wise definitely Bioshock.

CoD4 though... I've never had more fun playing a multiplayer game than I have with that one. :) I can't say i've ever been a huge online FPS player as they usually annoy me, CoD4 i can play for long stretches and it's just fun fun fun!

TF2 is also very cool, but i prefer CoD4 as it looks more real and less cartoon-ish. :) Nothing against TF2 though, because it's awesome in it's own right.

Its official Gears of War 2 is coming for the xbox 360. We all know its going to come out for the PC a year later.

What are you hoping to see in Gears of War 2?

Im hoping they would include more Brumaks and add in new beasts.

Camping is a valid tactic, let them try that in competitive play though and I can gurantee that they won't get very far. The way I see it is if you are stupid enough or suck bad enough to let them camp your spawn then you get what you deserve.Whiteblade999

There's not much you can do about spawn campers if they keep killing you before you can take any action.

Camping itself isn't a problem, spawn camping is cheap.

how can you expect pc gaming to even rival consoles if you have to accomodate people with 300$ pcs... Would you prefer UBI not to waste any time with it - not releasing it for the pc?

and btw to all you n00bs who cry about optimization, it's more than that, it's adding tons of settings to strip the game and make it less demanding. Even if the game was optimized to the death, to run at what the x360 & ps3 versions run you'd have to own a pretty decent pc.

Yet I agree the 3gb recommendation is bizarre.

I enjoy gaming in the dark. I need to pick up a keyboard that is lighted. Can anyone recommend one for me? If possible, I would also like a keyboard that seperates the W, A, S, and D keys. Whenever I try to strafe, I hit the wrong key. I only play FPS's in single palyer. I have also been checking out the keyboards with the LCD screen but am a little unclear on the benefits. For instance, how would it benefit me in my games (Doom 3 Quake 4, STALKER, Bioshock, RE4, FEAR, The Orange Box) and similar games to these. Thanks for any advice.incompitentfps

G15's are nice since they have macro keys as well. The newer version doesn't have quite as many as the original, and it is also backlit in orange instead of blue. You can probably still find an blue version though.

I have an original G15 myself and it's a nice keyboard. The LCD screen isn't all that useful to be honest, and it doesn't support heaps of games. The ones it does support it can be an interesting addition though, as it will give you stats/kills etc.

Apart from that you can have the LCD screen set up to display a clock/countdown timer/performance meter which will show your current CPU and RAM usage in real time.

If i had to gripe about anything on it, it's the useless USB ports which do not have enough power to run anything these days.

All in all i'm very happy with my G15 though, having macro buttons is handy in games with alot of keystrokes. Probably not so much for FPS's but you'd be able to get applets for a few of those titles.

They look pretty good in the dark since the whole keyboard is backlit though, and you can also turn the backlighting completely off as well as 2 different settings for how bright it is, which is handy if light annoys you when you sleep etc.

I guess it comes down to personal choice, G15 are custom made for gaming though.

I love camping/campers! Providing they are not exploiting a glitch in the game its a fun challenge to try and flush them out (sometimes that requires teamwork)daytona_178

Extra easy in games like TF2 and CoD4 as well since it shows you where they're hiding if they do kill you :D
