DMT can and will (crystallized, not the ayahuasca/pharmahuasca stuff or any derivatives like 5-Meo or DipT) make you see a different place altogether. Many people talk about having visited alien structures. There's a story on erowid of two people who took shrooms and DMT and were in the same bronze age (living with hut people) hallucination for what they thought was 3 days.

Salvia can not change your location, but can change your setting.

My friend had 70x and thought he was in World War 2. He could see he was in the same forest, but he thought he was shot and his friend was wearing one of the old army helmets lying dead on the ground (not really, but that's what he thought).

I like Thulsa Doom (Conan The Barbarian), everyone else I can think of was either too shallow or not badass enough. Maybe Oh-Dae Su (Oldboy).

You'd probably like Ulver (post Bergstatt), they've sort of evolved into a Radiohead-esque sound.

And Low is just pretty awesome.

Unfortunately I have **** (a thing at a time in a place in which i learn things, damned censors) in a few minutes and don't have time to find links.

Whoever said they need to take character development lessons from Valve hit the nail on the head. Those characters were barely even one-dimensional. I understand that it's an action game, but there is more depth in a Michael Bay movie. You've pretty much got to have cardboard cut-outs to be worse than that.

they look like a generic unreal engine powered game

superjim42

I know there's no point in me arguing this, but Too Human is no longer using the Unreal Engine. 70% of the code was rewritten. Including most of the rendering engine.

And 1080p or no, I have to say they look very similar both in character model detail and environment detail. And before you cry out about fanboy goggles, I have none.

Heh, one of my game programming projects for school was actually a stripped-down Flash version of that (we basically made it in three weeks). As such, there's no story, no save feature, it's basically you travelling around buying and selling and trying not to get shot down as long as you can.

I think the main programmer has it hosted on his website: http://www.zithuan.com/ It should be the 'Freetrader' link. Like I said, it doesn't hold a candle to Freelancer, but if you want something to kill time, it's there.

They took out assault mode, which was one of the big draws UT2K4 had (they took it out of UT2K3 and everybody flipped out, it's beyond me as to why they took it out again). But for a couple extra bucks you can get a physical copy from Amazon's resellers.

If you're not that into modding, I'd say try the demo first, but if you are, full access to the toolset for ~30$ is a pretty sweet deal.
That's the only reason I bought it, anyway.

I've yet to play Planescape, but it's the next PC game on the list.

Since I haven't played it yet, The Longest Journey series thus far, and Mask of the Betrayer. MotB had some of the best writing I've ever seen in a game, and the TLJ series has some of the best voice-overs and all-around story.

That's why it's so awesome, though, is because of its modularity AND scalability. Pretty much every other engine I can think of does not evolve past a certain point and instead releases a new iteration, and each iteration is targeted towards a particular range of specifications.
