Spawn of Possession's pretty fast, maybe not Dragonforce fast, but at least they don't speed up their tracks.

Pavor has an insanely fast bassist.

Sorry if I refuse to import games. We didn't like it because it got boring fast, not because it was hard. DDR had dancepads, Guitar Hero has the guitars, this had...buttons. It was almost like playing DDR with a normal controller. Except the songs sucked.

Beatmania does suck though. My friend bought it full price, played it at my house, and returned it literally an hour and a half later. It blows.

Anywho, Def Jam Icon is sorta rhythym-based. You have to time your attacks with the music. Never actually played it, but that was a big feature it had.

No, puking is not a typical side effect. There is usually some nausea involved, but the only way that guarantees that you're going to vomit is Ayahuasca. Everything else is based off of how good you are at keeping your stomach at bay. And it also might depend on what you ate leading up to taking it.

A lot of people tend to, however, because of the taste.

The way they do it in labs is extremely complicated. There's apparently a much easier way to do it using Mimosa Hostilis Root Bark, and then there's Ayahuasca and Pharmahuasca. Ayahuasca's a tea (it makes you throw up a lot, but you'll still like it, it's wierd). Pharmahuasca's a combination of pharmaceuticals that when put together produce some kind of indole ring Dimethoxytryptamine variant. Not recommended. The extraction from root bark and the chemically manufactured kind are what Joe Rogan and Terence are talking about. Also, you can lick a certain toad which has 5-MeO-DMT in the mucus covering it's skin which produces similar effects.

Blame Unreal Engine 3 for not being able to handle high-detail open environments and also not being finished when they started work on the game.

[QUOTE="Cesar_Barba"][QUOTE="Trekeith"]It was on TV. I remember watching it and being blown away. The fact that they used Conan the Barbarian music only amplified the awesomeness. nopalversion

Yeah, and I do believe it's called 'Riddle of Steel, Riders of Doom' by Basil Poledouris

Best epic theme ever. Basil Poledourisis better than Hans Zimmer, IMO. Hunt for Red October, Robocop and of course, Conan.

That wasn't Basil Poledouris, that was Rimsky-Korsakov, I went over this earlier.

To put it lightly, I'm not a fan. I wouldn't call them screamo, but they have had a few songs that might lead people to think they are.

Derailed as early as the first page. Good job GSers!!!. And to answer the original question, yes, they all have their ups and downs. There are some godawful old bands (Emerson, Lake and Palmer/Kansas), and some godawful new ones (Nickelback/DragonForce). Then there are some awesome old ones (Hawkwind/Stooges) and some awesome new ones (Low/Orange Goblin). Still, it all comes down to personal taste.

As for actual emotion in games and such, the Longest Journey Trilogy, Mass Effect, and Bioshock come closest to making me cry. I've never been very frustrated before, I'm pretty good at keeping my cool.

My little brother, however, will flip a **** if he dies more than twice. Like this one time, he was playing Arc the Lad: Twilight of the Spirits. He was fighting the final boss and had been for two hours, was within 10 turns of winning, and the power flickered. God's wrath did not compare.
