The dude's right. Lasts 10-15 minutes. Odd's are you're going to be too lost in your own world somewhere in the living room or basement to somehow find your way through the jungle to your car. You might knock over some expensive china or something, but for whatever reason, Salvia's never been involved in a car accident because everyone doing it never goes to their car.

Being blind is something of a limitation, however.

Umm...that was weird.

But yeah, buy some C++/C# books (C# is getting big on PC's, it's what DX10 was written in), learn Object Oriented Programming, and when you get a chance, buy some Flash books on game design. It's easier to learn the basics and solidify your understanding of programming logic in Flash and then just learn the syntax in C++.

[QUOTE="Trekeith"]It was on TV. I remember watching it and being blown away. The fact that they used Conan the Barbarian music only amplified the awesomeness. Cesar_Barba
Yeah, and I do believe it's called 'Riddle of Steel, Riders of Doom' by Basil Poledouris

That's actually not from the Conan soundtrack. It's from Rimsky-Korsakov's Scherezehade (sic), I can't remember which movement. Which is basically what the Conan soundtrack was, just modified to fit the scenery a bit better. In the movie soundtrack, the brass was a bit more prominent, among other things.

Saren in Mass Effect. I beat him my first try, but it took me ten minutes of straight shooting to get his health all the way down. I didn't have X class weapons because apparently my level wasn't high enough, but it was frickin hard to dodge all those rockets.

What about Tech5? That's even worse, as far as making it so everything looks the same. I applaud it from a technical standpoint, but I'm worried it's gonna be overutilized.

The Xbox 360 version of Gears of War had Unreal Engine 3. It just couldn't turn all the settings up to the max like a PC can. And I choose the CryEngine, because texture pop-in gets kind of annoying after a while (UE3).
