Buddy Rich - the god crazy speed. Sean Reinert - Death, Cynic, Aghora, Gordian Knot, and recently, Aeon Spoke. There are metal drummers and good metal drummers, he is the latter. I haven't studied music as long as INDIFF3R3NT, but I know a good drummer when I hear one. Danny Carey - duh. To a certain point, I find him incredibly cheesy, but his playing makes me forget that. Etienne Gallo - Augury, Negativa. Another good metal drummer.
Stopped smoking cigarettes a little less than a year ago, I smoke the very occasional cigar (read: maybe two or three a year), Hookah maybe 4 or 5 times a year, I did a little bit of pipe tobacco up until recently, and now I only smoke pot/salvia (and usually no more than once every two weeks or so).
I second Tangerine Dream. umm...other than that, there are a few black/death metal bands you probably wouldn't care for. At least that's all to my knowledge. There are a zillion industrial/EDM artists out there, I'll leave it up to everyone else to tell you who the good ones are.
It's alright if you keep it to yourself, but if you preach about it to other people who choose not to be straight edge, then you've crossed a line. I've met a few people who take it as their personal mission to stop me from doing a few (harmless, I might add) drugs. But on the other hand, I get along just fine with all the other straight edge people.
It's probably just your area. At my local EBGames (which is the number one store in the Northeast, by the way), they just say hi when you come in, ask if you need help, and every now and then do a quick little promotion for some item in the store (this is required by company policy, so I let it slide if I disagree with something like that). They always tell me to have a nice day when I'm done. All in all, probably the best customer service I've seen in any retail store I've been to. And I work in retail, too.
I like Batman the most, largely because of his lack of any real superpower. It's his own physical and mental capabilities which make him an icon of virtue.
Valentine's day this year, at about 7:30 in the morning. Stomach Virus. But it's maybe once every three years that I get one, and I've never thrown up for any other reason than illness, despite occasionally binge drinking.
