@Simulator_Shock: People shoot down PC gaming coz of constant upgrading. When consoles do it, it's totally fine and no on is forcing you. Double standards I tell you.
@rlg5150: Coz I believed that my ps4 won't be obsolete in the next two years. No matter how outdated the 8th gen consoles were when they arrived, they were the newest and most powerful consoles.
People buy consoles because they know that everyone gets the same deal which means
Same graphical fidelity, same resolution , fps etc etc for the next 4,5 or6 years.
And just wait for crappy 20-25 fps ports on the vanilla ps4.
You think developers will give two shits about the original ps4?
@rlg5150: My intention was it won't change for atleast 4 years and I can confirm that's what the majority thought.
Nobody saw a mid generation upgrade in 2013. If people knew there would be a mid generation upgrade, people would have waited for the upgraded model to come. Ps4 sales would have been half if people knew there will be a upgraded model in a couple of years.
For the ps4.5 or neo or whatever and sony to score huge PR points with the consumers, they need to introduce a lucrative exchange offer for early adopters which will show that Sony actually won't leave you with a second hand gaming experience and gives you a cheap option of upgrade.
@wtf_666: Exactly. I don't know why people think only first party exclusives can save a console. It's the third party support and how the games perform on the console that really really matters.
@livedreamplay: A new gen is more or less games with better graphics. Look at the ps3 and x360 games and look at X1 and ps4 games, the only main difference between old gen and new gen is graphics and resolution.
A new generation of gaming should imply better A.I, more dynamic environments not just eye candy.
All of these things have been lost since a few years.
