@Byshop: Right on the math. I must have misread it. As for the publicity, that's a good point, why draw attention to it once you got away with it? It is possible however, they posted about it on Facebook to "legitimize" it (since no doubt their child would be mentioning it) and it got picked up and went viral. Or that they're laying the groundwork for some kind of lawsuit for emotional trauma (thus all the dramatic exposition about how their son is crushed etc).
My cynical nature immediately assumes the family did this themselves to get a free (actually 2) PS4 + $100. I smell a rat. Especially the over the top comments on how crushed the kid is, his belief in Santa etc etc.
@Undead-Souls: Exactly. If it's a matter of maintaining high framerate (understandable) then scale back the graphics for split screen. People will understand.
This will quite literally make it s no-sale for me and several people I know. I think they underestimate the amount of time people spent playing the previous Halo games in split screen.
"Irons is best known for his voicework in The Lion King and his role as the villain in Die Hard: With A Vengeance". I think what you meant was those are the only roles you know him from. What are you? 12? Irons is a legendary actor and you name 2 crappy movies and voice-over work. Good lord.
@TrialMonkey: 2x - 3x more console gamers? What are you smoking? There are about 40 million console gamers on PS4/XBO and about 140 million PC gamers JUST on STEAM.
@sohail5566 Several sites have given it very high scores. And even in THIS Gamespot review the things he mentions as bad actually sound really good to me.
Boy these current "AAA" game companies have a real hard on for making these "Hollywood Teasers". All this does is make me roll my eyes and shake my head at how lame the mainstream gaming industry has become.
@rasterror I agree Killzone wasn't all that great either. I have no beef with MS or Sony or Nintendo. I just want good games and frankly I see AAA titles that aren't the same old garbage getting more and more rare on all fronts.
