@paladin1459 @matman01 @cryofax The Xbox One "rules" feature a ton of restriction on how you can loan/sell your games. Authorized resellers only, Publishers can block it if they choose, loaning to only a certain number of people who have been on your friends list 30 days.
I'm just stating the facts. You're the one glossing over them by conveniently not pointing out the truth. If anything you look like an XBox plant. Give me a break.
And an online check does control how, where, and even IF you can use your own games.
@FighterforJC @Polynecro Thank you. Jesus Christ these people miss the point over and over again. And I like the apologist "If they just remove the DRM the only thing left will be the check in". What? The online check in IS part of the DRM, and wrong for all the reasons you just gave.
@matman01 So now you're bashing Sony based on something they don't do, and have never done. Whereas you already know Xbox One is going to limit your use of your own games. If Sony suddenly decides on an online check after people buy the console, you better believe there'd be hell to pay. Won't happen.
@dsm_guy What are you talking about? DRM isn't left to publishers. It's integrated with the console. XBox One is using an online check, Sony is using the older disk-check style. People don't like the online check. It tries to control when, where, and even IF we can use the software we bought.
I think you're confusing DRM with the used game thing. Which XBox Is leaving to publishers. Sony is not. You can resell/trade/share your games all you want.
@ZedThePlatypus I don't recall them saying there was no DRM. Of course there is. Every console has had it for many years. The issue IS the online check. You understand DRM doesn't mean online right?
@RaddaRaddaRadda @malokevi @paladin1459 They have been extremely busy running around doing damage control. I wonder if they are actually Steve Balmer and Bill gates.
@paladin1459 @QuadThumbs Uh, it's not hard to understand. I don't see anyone misrepresenting it. A lot of us prefer the old school hardware DRM to the online check which in essence never lets us truly own anything. Most everyone understands the Xbox One's DRM fine, and lots of people think it sucks.
