Well, the torture scene is probably unnecessary, but regardless...video games are a form of digital art, and our "Freedom of Speech" defends that. I just hope they didn't cut it for political reasons. Believe it or not, with most gamers playing rated M games at some point in time or another, I believe most of us turn out alright. The crazy ones would have likely done crazy things anyways.
Great statement Rage. The greatest leader we've ever had was an educated British officer. It is said he could not tell a lie. Do you know what he said when the Federalists and Anti-Federalists argued about making branches and parties to differ in opinion about how to run the country?
"The alternate domination of one faction over another, sharpened by the spirit of revenge natural to party dissention, which in different ages & countries has perpetrated the most horrid enormities, is itself a frightful despotism. But this leads at length to a more formal and permanent despotism. The disorders & miseries, which result, gradually incline the minds of men to seek security & repose in the absolute power of an Individual: and sooner or later the chief of some prevailing faction more able or more fortunate than his competitors, turns this disposition to the purposes of his own elevation, on the ruins of Public Liberty."
-George Washington
The true patriots of this country are neither Republican nor Democrat. They do not care about parties. Instead, they seek to compromise. That is the foundation of this country. Speaking as an independent, but even that's a party now. I've hated every president we've had for the last 20 years. Can't we hire someone who's not a complete idiot? Oh wait...they all hate the job.
@sammoth Agreed. I wonder if this will do anything for him when Starcraft 2 inevitably gets boring. Can you put it on a resume, or will companies laugh too hard?
They have arguably similar graphics, similar power, and similar quality of games. I personally sold my Xbox 360, after being a Halo fan boy for the longest time. What convinced me was this: It's not the hardware that really made the difference. It was the disc. I used to work in computer tech and a Blu Ray disc can hold up to 5x the amount of information that a DVD can.
So I guess my question is this: The previous being assumed true...why aren't Playstation 3 games 5x the graphical quality/length of Xbox 360 games? I went with a superior disc format, but I think, if anything, it's the Sony users being ripped off. Go figure.
