Please stop comparing muti-plats because they are not accuraate in determining power. Rather look at the underlining hardware and look at the exclusive games technical aspects. These will display basically this: xbox 360 games: 720p 30fps/ ps3 games:mostly720p 30fps with a few 1080p 60fps. Slight edge? you decide.

The real question still remains and that is have any retail game on the 360 reached NATIVE 1080p graphics at 60fps? The answer is no while the ps3 has many times. An example of this is MLB 09: The Show. This doesn't prove superiority but many developers have stated that there respective projects were only possible on the ps3(examples: Flower, Killzone 2 ,MGS4 and Gran Turismo) while this has hardly ever been said about titles exclusive to the xbox.The facts are that the gpu is equal on both with the exception of better texturinng and anti-aliasing on the 360 andd that the ps3 has a superior cpu(examples:http://kotaku.com/gaming/ps3/academic-proves-ps3-is-a-supercomputer-243718.php/this shows how the ps3's power can be used while you'll be hard pressed to find any articles describing scientific applications of the xbox). Look at the tecnical aspect of games( native res. and how the engine works) and this will display the power diffrences between the two consoles.

Killzone 2 as it is on the ps3 is only possible on a pc. It would have to be a totally diffrent game to be on the xbox and it wouldn't have the lossless audio that I enjoy so much.

I think that the best combination is the PS3/PC because you get all multi-platform games as well as PS3/PC exclusives as well as a lot of xbox exclusives at a cheaper price with usually more content.

Why is everyone exclaiming that the wave of the future is digital distribution. I mean it;s a nice thought but there are too many limiting factors heres a list..

Bandwith caps. Now me I have comcast and we have an enforced bandwidth cap dictating that I can only use a limited amount of bandwith(150 gigs) before they shut off our service. Many companies that provide this service are following suit and this is horrible but deserves it's own thread.

DRM. I hate it you hate it but it's still there.

Personal Preference. Some people just like a hard copy rather than a digital one.

General Ignorance. People (general public) are idiots, and most of them don't care to learn of the potential benefits of it.

Internet Speeds. The internet isn't that fast,HD movie's are hard to stream let alone the times for downloading HD games which on average run about 6 to 8 gigs.

Although this isn't the most comprehensive list (I got lazy) you get the point; now please weigh in your opinions on that matter.

Yeah it is a very good looking game, but it doesnt have some of the bleeding edge tech that some of these shooters have. I guess at face value MLB 09 The Show may be one of the best looking console games, but when it comes to shooters they have graphical features and effects that may be more subtle and taken for granted. Like for instance in Killzone 2 the smoke effects are unrivaled, the even realistically move apart when an object passes through.

I agree, thanks but can you imagine the smoke effects that will be in Killzone 3 it will be on par with the 2005 cg trailer.

it will be a ps3 exclusive, just watch.
