When you say multiple games it's probably from hearing about World of Warcraft, and World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade. The Burning Crusade is an expansion pack for World of Warcraft. Just like how Frozen Throne was an expansion pack for Warcraft 3.
Like the above poster stated, World of Warcraft is a persistant-world Massively-Multiplayer Online Role-Playing game. Therefore, there is no offline portion of the game. The game is not a continuation of Warcraft 3 or Frozen Throne but it is set in the same world or universe as Warcraft 3. So if you play World of Warcraft you will see many, many things that are taken straight from Warcraft 3 like the lore, stories, characters, abilities, famous locations, events, etc. So essentially it takes place in the same "world" as Warcraft hence the name "World of Warcraft". As far as timeline goes I am not 100% certain but I'm quite positive World of Warcraft is set after the events of Warcraft 3: Frozen Throne.

very clear. thanks for your opinion. i don't have a fast internet connection and i don't like paying fees just to play online games. so i think world of warcraft is not the game for me. i just hope there'll be warcraft 4 in the future which i think is a remote possibility.
i've played warcraft 3 and the expansion pack frozen throne. they're really amazing strategy games with a great story. but i haven't played any world of warcraft games. i've known they're online games with fees. but do they have single player games (offline mode) just like the warcraft 3? is the story the continuation of frozen throne? i'm really interested to know if i can play this offline and how it is compared to warcraft 3 and frozen throne. thanks in advance.
yeah, i'll just wait till august when the prices go down further for conroe 2s. i'm deciding for conroes since they'll be even cheaper in a couple of months. oh and yes, it's just the right time to change my old pentium 4 2ghz when crysis comes. thanks guys.
