Company of Heroes is one of the most competitive games I've played in a while, or atleast have played very competitively. There is a ranking system, but you may have trouble finding a clan.
It really would only cater to a very small percentage of gamers. Like what was stated before, the only thing that can really make a game AO is sex, and possibly the use of hardcore drugs.
I really don't see the need for sex in a video game to be honest, hell, I don't even see the need for it in movies.
I do like my violence however, and if a game got an AO rating JUST for violence, I would most likely buy it.... as long as it didn't have cannibalism or rape.
I play Eve online which is probably the most brutal MMO I've every played. I've been in PVP fights where my hands are actually shaking while trying to use the mouse. However it is also the most casual player friendly MMO as well. Their unique skill training system has given me my life back compared to the days of WoW.
You want real hardcore PvP and still have a personal life? Try Eve Online.

No other game gets your adrenaline pumping like pvp in a hardcore mmo... atleast IMHO, just because the outcome of a fight will mean so much, win or lose.
[QUOTE="Twisted-Ice-God"]if you dont and 3 months later you get bsod, its because you fried your memory or something of that kind... ive had friends who didnt do it, it boots great works fine then all of the sudden shazam blue screen, and other nasty errors... not cool trust me. just do it to be safe if nothing else, i even use it if i am just reseating cards... i dont wanna be the one to fry a componet because i thought i was grounded...death1505921
That wouldn't work. You can't fry a componant and only then find out about it three months down the line. That's ridicules.
I don't want to make you feel bad about your purchase. If you like it, that's all that matters right? However next notebook you get I suggest you do a little bit of research. It'll either save you money, or you'll get more quality out of it.
Linux is a great OS, but severely lacking in the gaming department. You won't be able to play new games on it. Although there are programs that allow you to play older Window's games like Wine, Cedega(WineX), and Crossover. It has quite a learning curve to it however, so make sure you're motivated enough.
If you're interested in Linux, and a gamer. I would suggest setting up a dual boot with Windows.
