Agreed, If you are going to go water, you have to spend a very large amount of money to get a decent set. The primary reason why you can't get such a high overclock has a lot to do with the C0 stepping. Nothing you can change about that unfortunately.[QUOTE="Luminouslight"]

Ok, thanks for the advice :) The only thing I worry about the high end coolers such as the Prolimatech Megahalem is that they look pretty beastly and whether or not this kind of weight is good for the motherboard? Is there any of relieving this pressure on the motherboard? Any good HSF that you can recommend to give good cooling for a Core i7 920 w/ C0 stepping?
You have a crossbar stuck to the back of the motherboard to help support it, so it won't fall off. And it most certanly shouldn't snap your mobo unless you do something stupid. Otherwise the manufacturor is going to have a lawsuit on his hands. I can't reccomend any coolers since I havn't looked in ages since I did my W/C setup a while back.[QUOTE="Luminouslight"]Getting thermal paste may be able to shave off a few Celsuis. Go for something like OCZ freeze. I reapplied my thermal paste, which I originally used Arctic Silver 7, and I lowered about 10 C easy. BTW, is your i7 C0 or D0 stepping?Ice_1987
I think my i7 is C0, since I got it back in January. I had it built by a company called Wired2Fire, so I haven't actually tried playing around with it just yet. I was just looking for a bit of advice, before I did so. The main things I was considering changing were the Case....to possibly a Cooler Master HAF 932 and the cooler. I don't think I'm ready for Water Cooling just yet, but I have been considering options like the Cool IT Domino ALC and the Corsair H50 LCLC

I agreed with your first two sentences, after that, all I read was "I'm a tool, I'm a tool, I'm a tool tool tool."460W is already way behind the current minimum for a good card. Get it and you'll regret it. I wouldn't touch anything less than this Corsair 750 watt PSU with a 10 foot pole.
Cards aren't going to need less power over time, they will need more and more and more. Especially Amperage which is the real reason for getting such a PSU. It's not that it has 750 watts, it's that it has 60 amps. Which is somewhat more than you need today for say a GTX 260-295 (36-48 ). But likely even that is going to be barely enough for the next generation of cards.
Unless you plan on perenially buying the bottom barrel GPUs you need something substantial to power GTXs and the like.

It should have some sort of branding on it somewhere, or a picture? Anyway, my 640GB Samsung Spinpoint F1 drive is inside a quiet drive enclosure to limit vibrations and noise inside my case which bumps the temps up a bit (it's surrounded by foam and stuff) and mines sitting at 31*C and I've never seen it go much above that, possibly 32*C or so. And I've been playing games for the past few hours. I always thought 40*C+ was bad for a HDD.
