Indeed it is very sad that many people are willing to pay so much more for inferior hardware. No I am not suggesting iphone 4S is inferior to galaxy S2 but the latest HTC one X 32GB costs the same as iphone 4S 16GB. Now thats just utterly sad.

Gambler. There's not much left for you to do but invade the iOS forum to argue with a crowd you can't convince. The 4S and the new iPad beats everything Android has to offer. The ecosystem is unmatched, the developer support is unmatched, and the unified community is unmatched. We enjoy all these great video-game exclusives and free apps, and are able to play online or local multiplayer seamlessly despite which iOS device we have. All you can do is talk about specs, which don't even account to anything considering that Android is inherently poorly coded and requires more power just to be able to run with enough stability and fluidity. So go back to the Android forum and do what everyone there does: talk about phones, why an old game doesn't work on "insert android phone here," and debate over which Android phone is "THE BEST." We'll stay here enjoying what this website is all about: Video-games.

But yes generally iphone gives worse value for money, atleast you admit it.

Also, most android smartphones are obselete after ~18 months in terms of software support (Hello Galaxy S) whilst the 3 year old 3GS is still recieving updates. That brings up another point on fragmentation. It's up to the hardware manufactures to decide on whether to push out updates so many phones will be stuck with yesterdays OS. Hell, ICS only has 3% of the marketshare and Google is talking about Android OS 5.

Where is siri on iphone 4? Why is there no siri? What sort of software support is this that makes you upgrade your phone for a software feature? Sounds like exactly what these android companies do.

So what the hell is this thread doing here? This belongs to system wars, are you really that insecure about your stupid locked down iOS that you have to come up with these threads?

Android market has many free apps that you wont find on the iOS for free. Bring in ad revene to these figures or they are meaningless.

And if google is making so much from iOS what does that tell you? Apple is nothing without google as there is no real alternative to google services on the internet, google still gets most of it's revenue from PCs and laptops whereas iOS is the most important revenue generating thing for apple.

Android is the most popular smartphone platform in the world, samsung is the leading smartphone manufacturer. That IS the reality.

Android users are enjoying there big screens whereas apple users are waiting for their master to release a big screen phone and once that happens, having a huge screen on a phone would be the best thing ever. :lol:

This has very little to do with what you posted or this thread. There's a disconnect here you haven't quite discovered yet.

Its just jayson. his "thing" on the boards (since you appear to not know) is to be almost 100% on 75% of the issues, for none of the right reasons. I 100% agree that touch is inferior, and I do think that apple is admitting that touch controls are not as good as physical controls by catering to the gamer's needs

Admission or not, everyone is missing the point: Official controller across unified devices. It's a win regardless. Gaming wasn't always Apples main focus on the iDevices, so it's an admission of nothing. We're still going to be using touch controls to type, to interact with apps, surf the web and do everything else. Honestly, the only time I see myself even using a controller is to play first-person shooter and fighting games, and possibly platforming games. Every other genre handles more than adequately well, and some (like RTS, Racing, point and click adventures etc) actually handle better with a touchscreen. There is no admission to anything other than Apple hears its user-base, and decided to address one thing.

Two things- my comment isn't made to simply get people riled up. Apple's polished and well-oiled ecosystem makes Android look like a fragmented mess. Secondly, I'm not letting anything go on so much as I am giving people the benefit of the doubt. My goal is not to troll everyone who feels differently, but I will express my opinions honestly. Things on this board were very level and nice until very recently...

The trolls started surfacing once Apple stock surpassed $600 and the video-game industry started hailing iOS as the holy grail of mobile gaming. It's called the "sore loser" syndrome.

If true it's a bold move saying that all of their touch devices are inferior when it comes to controls

I mean years of the iPod touch and iPhone with the touch ability and now Apple is saying they're all bad for controlling their devices.

You have to wonder how far this is going to go, with the death of Steve Jobs is Apple finally going to start fixing his bad ideas starting with touch controls?

Sure does look like it.

It's almost like you forgot that gaming is just one function of what iDevices were made to do. A controller peripheral would address hardcore gamers lamenting over a lack of traditional controls. It's not meant to replace touch controls in terms of every other function of the iDevices. The iPad propped up with a physical controller in hand? Sounds more like a portable console/television combo than a handheld gaming experience.

Gambler has a raging hate boner for Apple's apparent success.

He's been "foreseeing" the failure of apple products for the past half decade and has launched his own mud-slinging campaign to cope with how horribly wrong his "projections" were.

Hundreds of reviews and professional analyzations later, the iPad 3 kicks the crap out of everything out there above and beyond the moon and rainbow. The Retina Display MATTERS. Place an Retina iPad and especially the Retina iPhone next to their non-retina counterparts and which one are people going to choose?

Stop being a trolling tool, Gambler.

I don't understand why mods don't just suspend your account for this.
