best bet is to bring it to the apple store. their customer service is phenomenal, they'll help you get up and running in no time. Best of all, problems like yours is considered free service.I tried, thanks but nothing shows up on screen, and itunes comes up and thinks its an iphone. So when i press recovery it says that software is not available. i even tried manually finding ios on my pc that i downloaded but it dont work.

Saw these statistics awhile ago. It really comes as no surprise. The abandonment rate of every other smartphone manufacturer inreases every quarter while the demand for Apple mobile devices equally rises.
Quality will always usurp the competition. I've been calling this moment since four years ago.
Tell me about it. I intend on getting back to this thread and throwing in recommendations out there, but JEEZ. There's literally hundreds upon hundreds of iOS games that need to be here, and it's a whole lot of work. One day when I'm bored, this will be a proper stickied thread after I am done with it.
So digging online it seems that people recommend starting off with Java or C.
I intend on creating a richly detailed 2D top-down videogame. Based on this intention, would it be wise for me to start with Java or C?
I've also heard of Python coupled with Pygame, but I've heard there are limitations to it.
My utmost concern is being able to display rich 2D art coupled with fantastic visual effects, and running at a constant 50+ fps without a hitch.
This was a post meant for the apple forum. You don't even belong here, yet you chose to come and spew all your insecurities all over the place like a menstruating female politician. People ARE just as happy with it. That's WHY Apple is successful. Ever compare the consumer satisfaction rates between iOS and Android? iOS is through the roof while Androids are abysmal. Fact.Get lost kid, you dont own this forum. I can post wherever I want to, deal with it. Forum invasion. You came here just to post Anti-Apple threads, and you're coming here just to argue with in an iOS-user exclusive discussion. I'm probably an entire decade older than you, so if you're going to make any "kid" reference you can make it towards yourself. ;)[QUOTE="Kid-Atari"][QUOTE="Gambler_3"]
You wanna make a thread about financials fine but then you go and put "personal experiences" of some random person as if it has anything to do with financials.
While apple may have great apps but there are serious problems with the OS. It's not just about games you know infact gaming is a secondary thing to me in a smartphone.
Just because apple is so successful doesnt mean that people are just as happy with it. The "vast majority" is using an android phone that is the reality. Apple just happens to have an incredibly loyal userbase who will pay anything apple asks for thats why they are so profitable.
HTC is selling quad core and 4.7" retina screen phone for the same price as apple is selling a dual core phone with 3.5" retina screen. How bloody ridiculous.
And as for the iOS, this video highlights some of the issues very well.

Wondering what language would be a good start.
Ultimately would like to end up developing for iOS. I understand that it's largely Objecive-C based, but I'm told that before I dive into that language I should really start with the fundamentals and get into the swing of things.
Right now the languages I've caroused over were C, Python, Java and Javascript. Processing.js as well.
