reviews say the re-vamped touch controls are well implemented and actually complement the fight system better. It should be well worth it unless you want to relive the classic on the big-screenI sold my DSi with Chrono Trigger (that was the only game I had for it that I cared about). I just got an iPod touch. Is it worth getting Chrono Trigger again? Or should I get it on virtual console for my Wii? I've heard the controls for the iPod can be pretty bad. Also, anybody know if/when it will be on sale for cheaper?

For me, what started off as a counter-strike obsession easily transferred over to the very first Modern Warfare (Call of Duty 4).
I've reached 10th prestige in every subsequent installment ranging from World at War all the way to Black Ops (I've only prestiged once in Modern Warfare 3 so far)
The past month has been my first time dealing with the Battlefield series, and I absolutely understand why people fervently believe in it, and I also absolutely understand why people fervently detest it. BF3 is an entirely different beast.
My first few days with it was spent in utter frustration, and I think it might have been because I tried playing it the same way I play MW3. It just doesn't work, and this is exactly where CoD fans come off from. The game is harder for us. Rocket explosions can kill you if they blow up against the thin wall you're hiding behind. This is realistic, but a lot of people are turned off by the new challenges that realism brings.
For instance: Expert snipers can easily be outed even if they're holed up behind some apartment window. All it takes is one RPG to the wall of the 4th story apartment, and if the initial blast doesn't kill him because he scrambled away from the window, the sniper is pretty much left helpless with no more cover and exposed because the entire wall crumbled and left a huge gaping hole for your squad to see him.
This alone will discourage die-hard snipers and quick-scopers of CoD. They hate the game because they cannot cheese. This is just one example out of many examples on how BF3 feels inherently different. A lot of people don't like the idea of their cover being slowly chipped away by bullets and explosions. It's too real.
The sense of scale is vastly different too. A lot of CoD players prefer small maps to run amuck in. They'll quickly be turned off by the massive scale in BF3 environments.
I'm not saying BF3 is a bad game. I'm realizing that I'm starting to play it more and more, and really, I can see myself eventually growing tired of CoD just as I grew tired of Counter-Strike. I think I choose BF3 as my next point of interest. I really hope that people looking for something a bit deeper than CoD will just give BF3 a fair chance and spend as much time as I'm starting to... Because really, I think I see why a lot of people switch over and have a hard time coming back. It's a much more rewarding game if you play it the right way.
I've been Nintendo's biggest fan since the NES first came out two and a half decades ago.
I've heavily invested in Nintendo prior to the DS and Wii and received a nice payout when I dumped my shares a litte while after.
I've purchased almost every major, minor and obscure Nintendo 1st and 2nd party game, thoroughly enjoyed and even revisited each title every so often.
I still believe Nintendo is the only game developer that has the same kind of charismatic appeal that Pixar films has with seemingly almost every demographic.
.... .... and I agree. Nintendo would do much better by drastically re-vamping their presence in the videogame industry. By re-vamping, I mean re-considering their stance on focusing all their efforts and wallet into supporting a platform of their own. It's time for them to re-evaluate their approach on being one of the most influential video-game developers in the entire history of gaming. They can still be as big, if not BIGGER. They need to do some serious soul searching.

Looks to be fantastic! Anyone else notice how a lot of console quality games are finding their way to the appstore this holiday?
DropBox
Flashlight
Coin Flip (comes in handy, believe me)
RedLaser
Scanner Pro
iTeleport (best remote desktop controller in the appstore)
AppShopper (great for finding sales, can even have it notify you when an app you have in your wishlist goes on sale)
Netflix
Pandora
I find it works perfect on the iPad, but is too sensitive on the iPhone. I move my thumb the slightest and the car spins around. I think I'll stick to playing it on the iPad.mjcI agree with the sensitivity of the car... In the settings, there's an option to use accelerometer/gyroscope based controls for driving cars. I found this to be much more accurate and forgiving when playing on the iPhone.
[QUOTE="Kid-Atari"][QUOTE="Wolfetan"]Thanks! I'll include iPod accessories and add-ons to this thread as well Ok thanks! Also i was looking for a camera add-on since the camera thats on the ipod touch isnt very good. Are there any that help the camera? I don't think there are any camera add-ons that actually improve the camera quality itself. Only add-ons like macro lenses, wide angle lenses and zoom optics etcGreat thread! Any chance you could do a ipod touch accesory list?
