Yeah no ones hyping those games AAAA.xXHackettXx

I made the resistance one up, but all the other games i mentioned have been hyped quadruple A. Just look around bud.

Ever GTA and MGS scored perfect scores, everyone is suddenly hyping everything to be AAAA. LBP, Fable 2, Gears 2, FF13, all these games that were originally hyped 8.0-9.5 are suddenly in league for a perfect score.

Let's understand that 2 10's a little over a month apart is just a fluke. They were made by proven and very talented developers, working under the power of some beefy consoles that are still relatively new to us.

So no more talk about Resistance 2 scoring 10/10 please :roll: Let's just all come back down to earth.

Your "mad" at someone else's oppinion? if its there oppinion and giving it a 6.5 then you dont have to make a new thread.all you have to do is ask them why the game deserved a 6.5. to me the game deserved a 9.5GearsOfWarLover

You don't quite understand my post. I'm saying that from a technical standpoint or just by looking at what GTAIV has accomplished, it deserves more credit than what some people give. If you're opinon is that the story and gameplay suck, fine i wont argue, giving it less than 7.5 or 7.0 is just saying it's a mediocre game, which it cannot be because of what it has technically accomplished.

I've seen people say it deserves 6.5. :S

Even if you dont like the gameplay or if you're tired of the GTA formula, this game DESERVES at minimum 7.5 as a technical feat. The city is massive with no waste of space like deserts and stuff like in SA. Pedestrians have schedules and conversations, almost everything is interactabale and it runs a smooth framerate almost all the time.

If you dont like the multiplayer, you can't argue that it runs smoothly, has a very diverse number of things to do and works out very well.

As an overall game, the technical prowess of this game warrants a score of 7.5.

The story, cover system, driving, characters, humour, and freedom warrant a 9.0-10, but this is opinion.

If you say GTAIV deserves anything under 7.0, I guarentee you're just a hater of anything mainstream and like to make a spectacle of yourself.

I occasionally drop by Giantbomb just to check out Jeff's view on certain things and his reviews. His previews, insights and reviews of high quality...a quality that gamespot has been lacking since he left.

Never forget what went down and the circumstances of his departure. Gamespot has no credibility in their reviews.
