Loooooooool TC you don't get it. Listen, I have parents EXACTLY like hers. So I do everything undercover, and I'm better for it. Parents like her's and mine look at relationships in a negative light; something that will affect grades, habits, attitude NEGATIVELY. I understand where you're coming from; you want to be able to be free around her, her house, her parents, and be a couple of teenagers having fun. You feel like this because you've been spoiled by "good" parents. Truthfully I'm not sure which style of parents are "good", maybe a healthy mix of both styles...regardless...she knows what she's talking about. MY ADVICE: Let her handle her parents. If she needs to tell her parents that she's hanging out with a girlfriend to get out of the house saturday night, leave it at that. If you try to force her to make her introduce you...things : will : end : Just be happy that you're with her, and that she's willing to hustle her parents to be with you.

Just turn it off into the "red light" mode. Flipping the switch at the back isn't necessary, and infact i'd reccommend not using the back switch. Like the poster above me said, if you're going away on a long vacation or something, u can flip the back switch to completely cut power.

Ahahaha. You guys are pretty ****ing cool. Thanks for replying; each one of you basically expressed different thoughts going through my mind. For some reason, it's very stress relieving to see the same train of thought common to a bunch of different people. I'm gonna do it. I'll sing for and with my friends. Auditions are next week, but the affair is next month. So I probably wont be back to tell you how it went. But I really want to thank you all for putting me at some level of ease. I just want to single out EmyrsII for his/her post. Makes most sense to me. Thanks for posting.

All right quick primer; I'm a senior at my high school (grade 12), so it's hopefully and most likely my last year . The biggest event next to Prom is coming up; Multicultural Night. Basically a huge thing where different talents from different ethnic groups perform various things. My friends are really into music type stuff. They have a basement full of guitars, drums, mics, recording devices, and they're always making new music.

Problem; they want ME to sing lead vocals for their band at Multi Night. Why is that a problem? I'm not a good singer. I sing all the time, and everyone knows that I always sing when doing stuff...but I'm not a performer. They KNOW this, and I keep trying to back out but they keep insisting that I do vocals for their music because we're all friends and they want a band with me and them in it.

Awww so nice right? Yeah ok but when people go to multi night, they expect a certain level of professionalism. I've never taken vocal lessons or choir or have ANY kind of singing background. I just love music. I dont have the voice for singing but auditions for multi are next week, and it's pretty certain we're gonna get into the show based on the merits of my friends, NOT my singing.

I'm nervous as hell because i'll be in front of the whole ****ing school singing songs they've never heard in my not-amazing voice. I mean I dont sound like a train wreck in progress, but I'm not the kind of guy that performs vocals, i just dont have the voice for it. Not right now. Should I just go up there and perform with my friends and get it over with?

What do you think...

I finish almost all my games all the way through at least once. I usually hold on passing judgment on the game until I can get a full picture of what it's offering up. Also, I just like gaming in general so I can usually find enjoyment out of any game. But some games are downright terrible. I had to force myself to finish spiderman 3 (wii version, PS3/360 versions seem all right), and for some reason it felt like the only reason I finished the force unleashed (PS3) is because I wanted to face the emperor/vader. The story wasn't amazing (especially for canon star wars ... ) and the gameplay was the same in each level. There was also some pirate game I never finished...but generally I finish all my games.

I played GTAIV, both endings, and liked it a lot. But I only liked it while playing the story. Without context, I found GTAIV to be bland. The city is huge, but empty. Saints Row 2 is a little rougher around the edges in terms of animation and polish, but there's so much to do within the city and so much little things that even when you're not playing the story, you can MAKE your OWN context, which is why it gets my vote. You can pick up fellow Saints on the fly in parts of the city you've taken over. If there's not enough room in your ride for your entire crew, your buddy will carjack someone and follow you to the far edges of the city. You can jump on any car at any time and car surf it for a little boost in respect. Getting tired of that goatee? Change up your look. While you're there, why don't you try out a new fighting style? On your way back to your hideout to start a new mission you come across the insurance fraud diversion. There's just always something to do in the city. You really can't say the same for GTAIV. Play some pool? Sure, I liked that for a while. Take your buddy for a drink? And by drink I mean take them to a building you can't go inside, watch a black loading screen, and then fumble your way back home avoiding the cops trying to book you for DUI. I liked both games, but Saints is just more fun.

The reasons you didn' like MGS2 is probably because you played it years after it was released so the aesthetic appeal is gone. It's dated; it's old. Also, the camera is really restrictive in MGS2 so you might feel like you can only do certain things and feel very limited in the environments. Animations aren't as smooth as they could be, and the story is completely lost on you because you didn't play MGS1. "Some guy I think called Ocelot" says enough lol. It's okay though...MGS4 is much more westernized. It feels like an American-made third person shooter. Camera is full 360 degrees rotatable, graphics are the best on the PS3 (arguably) and so the only thing that might turn you off is the story. I will bet any money you will find very little enjoyment in the story because it ties up the previous 3 games. Verdict: Buy it if you feel like you have some money to spend and want to try something that you might like. If you feel like not taking a risk and getting a different game you know you'll like, definately do that instead. MGS4 is not for everyone, ESPECIALLY those who haven't played MGS1-3.

Honestly, while I was watching them, I never felt they were too long. I never felt or thought "hey...how long is this cutscene going to be..." It was just a part of the game and I think if no one ever saw that one of the cutscenes is X amount of minutes long, no one would complain.

What was up with that start with that interview it made no sence to me The stuff in the begining was just a sample of the TV that would play in the MGS universe to show what the future was like. How integrated war had become in the lives of average people like us. It shows the influence of the Patriots. Why can raiden get crushed by a boat and still be ok? I'm assuming it's because of a combonation of his exoskeletal armour and advanced medical capabilities...to restore bone structure and crushed organs and such. The patriots system thing or something got deleted is that a good thing or a bad thing? As someone said above, only the core AI of the patriot system was destroyed. The things that regulated daily life was still intact. And so while the world was born again at the death of Major Zero, it didn't fall into complete chaos because the 'helpful' parts of the system were still intact. The worm cluster designed by Sunny and Naomi did this intentionally I believe. What is the point of having those girls after the bosses just walking at you? 1) They're sexy 2) To show how vulnerable they are underneath their armour 3) To show their mental struggle 4) SO SEXY TY for helping a noob NP.
