[QUOTE="sn4k3_64"] I see, well to be honest im not sure if that calibration is going to be effective, but i'll probably give it ago anyway (i just tried it now xD), anyways cheers for helping, appreciate that.sn4k3_64

Calibration may help, with an emphasis on may.

Isnt it just designed to calibrate the colours, like the shades of gray etc and not the actual screen position?

That's the idea.

[QUOTE="sn4k3_64"] Thanks for replying so fast btw, also do you mean the 3 year warranty? Only thing putting me off it, is the reviewer said some magazines reported leakage :S, dnt know what thats all about lol :S. Is that the calibration with the gamma and what not? Thx again :)sn4k3_64

Leakage would be backlight leakage depending on the viewing angle, I don't think it would be a big deal. The liyama has a 3 year warranty, not sure about the BenQ, so the choice is up to you. Calibration involves gamma, yes, and Windows 7 will walk you through it so to speak.

They are both fine. Pick the one you want - that 3 year model on the liyama may be more important. Either way when you do buy it get the drivers off the manufacturer's website or windows update and then calibrate the monitor; just type in calibrate in the start menu.

The 6870 won't have the grunt to play some games on 2 monitors at the same time, depending on resolution. It can easily drive both, though.

The liyami range is good too, and ignore the response time. You won't see any blur/smearing.

Sweet, I hear these are excellent gaming monitors. BenQ I mean.

hmm, they probably don't make one in 25.5 inches do they?

Lach0121

No.

But this would definitely be an adequate monitor for gaming though right?

It would be an excellent choice for the price. If you want the best 30" the price would triple.

Perhaps, but it is a free trial.

I think instead of renewing my license with Nod, cause even though it is fantastic, We usually download all of our stuff from official sites. (don't get virus's much) so I was thinking of going with a great free one, like MSE or AVast or something of the sort.

I don't think we need premium AV because we don't download all that much, and what little porn we look at, I am sure that MSE or AVast would be able to take care of any problems, if they come.

Lach0121

If you want porn I'd recommend pornBB and Youporn. Haven't been infected from those. Apart from MSE (which would be my top choice) I'd run a weekly scan with Malwarebytes just to make sure nothing has slipped through.

Cool thx for the recommendations.

Enjoy!

I am looking to upgrade too, do they make one of those in a 24 inch or a 25.5 inch? (or anywhere in between of course)?

I am in the United States btw.

3D is a gimmick. Buy a good 2D TV instead.

ChubbyGuy40

Not sure if serious. It's not going away.

It's the next thing to hit mass marketing before higher resolutions (again.) Gonna have to deal with glasses-free 3DTVs in the future. Poor us for having 3D forced on us just like HD and flat panels were forced on us!

Look at the health warnings on the set. The technology right now is also clumsy and useless.
