Build one yourself with a mini-ITX case, but I don't think AM3 boards come in mini-ITX, Intel's H55 does - Gigabyte's H55-USB3 is 17cm x 17cm.

You most likely have physx running which a CPU/ATI card can not handle. Also make sure to uninstall physx if you have it since there have been reports in loss of FPS while having it actually installed and running ATI cards.

I wouldn't do that. Some games need the libraries installed. If you uninstall it, it may gut the game. I think Mass Effect 2 left PhysX on my PC despite the fact its all AMD.

[QUOTE="gameguy6700"]My 5970 is a full foot long, and there have been even longer cards in the past (IIRC wasn't the GTX295 something like 14 inches long?) This is why I went for a full-ATX case. I don't have to ever worry about a piece of hardware not fitting. I don't get why people dish out for mid-ATX cases when they want to put anything higher than mid-end components in them. Sure, mid-ATX cases are cheaper and have far more options, but you WILL run into size issues if you ever want to put in a high end heatsink or GPU.Lach0121

True, but most people buy mid range parts for a mid-range case. It would be stupidity to buy a $30 case and then complain your $600 5970 doesn't fit.

Wow, though I never paid attention to some of those cards lengths because the price alone let me know I was just wasting my time lol. Though my case was kinda expensive and not really a small case, I do not want to upgrade cases on this build. (I already ruled out things like a 6970-6990, gtx 580, and the cards like those, I know won't fit, but a mid-high range card like a 6950 it isn't that far off base to hope for it to be under 10.5 inches long).

You take a look at the pics of the size?

Fine, if you plan on playing games in the future I'd get the TP-650, for a bit of headroom, but otherwise everything is fine.

[QUOTE="swehunt"] Yes why dont HDD's use the same power saving feuture as other hardware does? I'd like the HDD to use power saving mode and go down to 5200rpm whenever it isn't used! The direct impact should be very low as it'll be only the first time you use it it'll be slow. (5200rpm's)swehunt

That will slow your whole system down.

Yes the first time i acsess the PC it'll be like anyother 5200RPM drive otherwice it would perform like the best mercanic drive, i would buy one becauxe it would be more silent and actually perform very near the 7200prm drive when in use.

Those are WD's Green drivers and they are sloooow. Normal HDD's are quiet enough.

Same quality. Wouldn't parts cost more in the UK because of the VAT? And wasn't the tax increased to 20% or something? Anyway, that PC will serve you well and it had enough room for upgrade expansion.

[QUOTE="Mr_BillGates"]

I don't get why people want to purchase Blue and Green Western Digital hard drives. First of all, Black beats all of them and uses sightly more power. Even with such little power increase, hard drives in general do not consume that much to begin with.

Break down:

BLACK > BLUE > GREEN; Go Black hard-drives!
