A 470 is a poor choice to a 6870. It uses at least 80 more watts for not much more speed.

You monitor is recognized in dialog boxes instead of a generic type. That's about it though. You should be able to get yours off Windows Update.

I'd rather get the Ultimate heatsink version. Those fans have a nasty habit of filling with dust quickly.

Stick with the 6870, its faster than the 460, and get 4GB of Kingston Value RAM DDR3 1333MHz for $71 off newegg. For the case get an Antec Two Hundred if you don't want to spend too much and add a TriCool fan to the front. I would also get the VX-650.

Thanks for the advice so far guys it has helped me out a load. Are there any alternates to the GPU (Palit 1GB GTX460) that are cheaper without sacrificing the quality too much? 3KUL

I'd stick with the 460 unless you want something faster like a 6870.
