Its pretty funny though that although neither Sony's or Microsoft motion sensing devices are available or finished for that matter yet they both already surpassed the Wii.

EVOLV3
So then where's the evidence that they surpassed the Wii? Self contradicting statement ftw.

[QUOTE="micky4889"]Man if i was Nintendo i'd be ****** since this could potentially harm their chances at wining next gen.Cherokee_Jack
They've already fully established themselves with the casual market. That gives them a huge advantage next gen.

Not to mention the dozens multimillion selling franchises they can unload anytime they want.

Fact is that ms focused on hardcore games next to the casualness of motion controls.. nintendo isn't even trying to please the hardcore crowd anymore

Norule04

I saw nothing hardcore about MS's Natal demonstration Do I need to pull up some gifs?

I was talking about all the awesome games that were shown in the first segment

You couldnt be talking about Natal games. Natal has no games.

The examples you bring up were non issues in comparison. There were literally thousands of threads created about this in the last two years anout how Nintendo is the devil and motion controls are a fad gimmick. I don't even see how you can compare the two.

There were hypocrites on all sides I just gave you a few examples..

And a few examples you gave are incomparable to the "OMG teh Wii fad motion gimmick sux" that has dominated this forum over the last two years. I get your point, all fanboys are hypocrites, but this is just ridiculous.

Yoshio Sakamoto: Together, instead of being Nintendo and Team Ninja, we became Project M. And our goal is to create the best Metroid: Other M that we can. IGN: How is Project M separated between the teams? How big is the overall team? Yoshio Sakamoto: In addition to the members of the staff from Nintendo and Team Ninja, as you saw in the trailer, there are a lot of cinematics that help us tell the story within Other M so we're also working with a company called D-Rockets, led by a director named Mr. Kitaura. In total, with the the three companies combined that make Project M, we have over 100 people on our staff. Full Interview with Nintendo's Yoshio Sakamoto http://wii.ign.com/articles/991/991793p1.html Over 100 people is a pretty big team and definitely dispells those who claimed it was a pure Team Ninja game with Yoshio Sakamoto "supervising". This definitely is his brain child and the Metroid GBA team should be just as involved as Team Ninja and D-Rockets.

While I don't think MS and Sony's motion controls were lame, unfinished and full of potential seems like a better term, I have got to agree with you on the hypocrisy around here. I remember a few weeks before E3 there was a thread where a bunch of users claimed they would leave gaming, or go to PC, if Sony and Microsoft announced a motion control. I wonder if those users have already thrown their systems out the window or if they are here discussing how awesome "their system" motion control is.

I was thinking the same, the Sony motion control could be called the Wii Controller +, it's exactly like the Wii but has more precision... at least MS came out with something tottally different.

themyth01
You mean motion plus? There is no evidence whatsoever that Sony's motion controller is any better than motion plus. It's just marketing hype. They perform the exact same function 1:1 motion controls. As for the Natal.... it's a slightly different formula, but it has even less functionality in terms of the various genre's in hardcore gaming. How are you going to play an fps with it? A third person adventure? A platformer?

I have never seen Nintendo win a poll on this board populated with Sony fanboys..... why even bother? Also, Sony's conference was worse.... the price announcement actually sent the PS3 to third place and the ramifications have echoed throughout this entire generation.
