This could have been summed up much, much easier. More and more once great titles will fall into the COD nutshell that is innovation free and completely profit driven while games that might shine, if given more attention from it's publishers, won't ever see the light of day. Activision let the genie out of the bottle with COD, showing that non-sports franchises can have very profitable yearly installments and as long as people buy it you will see more and more of this. Madden and other sports games have been doing this for years, it was only a matter of time.
My question is- how many people will read this, agree and preach on thier soap box that we are intolerant of others and then mock the crossdresser next time they go to the mall? Or the woman that looks manish or the very feminine man? Yet again the internet remains a great place to portray yourself as someone your not, for better or worse. What is equal? Does a realistic definition even exist? Everytime someone pushes for equality someone else gets alienated and the scales tip back and forth. I got nothing from this because I view Poison as a tomboy, which is not uncommon or frowned upon, and because no matter how bad you think you have it there is always someone else worse off than you
@SeptuagintXXX True, I haven't even heard of any DLC for Dark Souls. I hope it gets some but Demon's Soul's didn't get DLC so we can only keep our fingers crossed.
Nice, but I can't justify the amount I'd have to spend for a gaming PC just so I could play mods. My PC runs older games and I play COH modded with Blitzkrieg and EF and while it makes the games last longer it dosen't change the fact I just like consoles more. I'll upgrade it just enough to play Diablo 3 when it comes out. There's no point to rebuying a game I already own anyway.
I don't see what the big deal here is. If you are homophobic don't marry a same sex partner in game. This seems like a very juvenile topic to even discuss.
@Darkeus I wasen't pointing out bad behavior to justify other bad behavior, it dosen't make sence for me to do that because I don't have a dog in the fight. The comments are disgusting and I don't condone such behavior, but all things considered, it is not uncommon for garbage like this to pop up and get a firestorm of attention over the largest cesspool known to mankind: the internet. I can't believe this has gathered so much attention, like I said, this is relatively weak compared to the charachter assassinations we see in politics. People shouldn't write disgusting crap like this but it could have been worse, one of those wunderkinds could have accessed personal infornation via hacking and damaged ger career, but then again if they had done that they just bought thier way into a serious lawsuit and criminal charges, so they stick to trashy personal attacks. People need to grow up in general.
Wow! This crap happens everyday in politics 100 times worse, and that stuff matters. I've seen more distasteful comments in about any COD vs BF or Console vs PC war. What would make me laugh is knowing how many people comment on here about "This kind of language is unacceptable" and then goes on YouTube and types inflammatory comments there.
@moviequest14 Survival horror has went off course recently but I like what Alan Wake did, even though it wasen't a survival horror game, it reminded me of my favorite survival horror game in many ways,which was Silent Hill 2. Dead Space, while a great game, didn't creep me out with thier liberal usage of gore and pop up scares, it seemed very combat oriented to me. Where Wake and SH2, and where I hope the genre goes is into the realm of being more of a psychological game, which those 2 titles did so well. The genre could have a breakthrough if they could break out of the "traditional" scare tactics and use more creative solutions where nothing is too controversial (or dare I say too unethical as well) to put the player in very uncomfortable and frightening situations against thier own feelings/beliefs/past experiences/phobias that they will not forget.
I'd be lying if I said I wasen't nervous about the next Xbox. After the amount of failures my 360's had I'm very wary about buying one, if at all. Might sit this one out till PS4 gets here beause the PS3 I didn't have these problems with.
