My 360 has 2 offline profiles and a Live profile. Whenever I turn the 360 on, it automatically logs in as the Live profile when playing a game. Is there a way to turn off this auto login? Is there a way to make the 360 ask which profile to start with each time?

Thanks in advance!

Here are all the games that are co-op: From Wikipedia

Check the gamespot score first though. some of these are pretty lousy.

I'm in the same boat as you except that my wife isn't big on 1st person shooters. We had a great time with Marvel Ultimate Alliance and Lego Star Wars Complete Saga. I recommend both of those highly. She didn't like Halo (split-screen) or Gears of War (but I'm still working on her).

Here are a few we've played (We actually played some of these on PS2, but they are probably the same or better on XBOX). The XBOX designation means original XBOX, the 360 means the new one. The older games should work on the 360.

X-Men Legends (XBOX)1 player for the first mission or so, then the second player can come in
X-Men: Rise of Apocalypse (XBOX) 2-player
Marvel Ultimate Alliance: (360) 2-player, very very fun. Highly recommended. very long game.
Lego Star Wars: Complete Saga (360) super fun. slight graphical hang-ups here and there, but very enjoyable.

Baldurs Gate: Dark Alliance: (XBOX) 2 player hack-n-slash, not much thought involved, but very fun.
Baldur's Gate 2: (XBOX) sequel

An upcoming title is Lego Indiana Jones. That should be good too. It is supposed to release on June 3.

There needs to be more hack-n-slash games for real-life co-op.

Nice sig!

yeah, i prefer the real-world co-op instead of the online co-op. That allows for some gaming time and spouse-time at the same time. We need more games like Baldur's Gate and Marvel Alliance, not less.

I have a regular profile on my XBOX. I jsut recently created a Live account profile. Is there a way to import the save games/achievements to the new profile from the old one?

I've gone through several of the Logitech Wireless controllers. Here's my take:

Pros: excellent battery life, perfect size, slightly textured grips, very good range, no lag, no interference problems, very good rumble, very sturdy construction.

Cons: face buttons will occasionally get stuck (the main reason for replacing 2 of my controllers), only comes in one color - black. That makes it hard to remember which controller is #1.

I've tried some other cheaper controllers, and they really felt flimsy - like if I gripped them too hard they would snap. Plus I'm not a big fan of the garish colors and designs for most of the off-brand controllers. I like the basic black.

My local Gamestop has the XBOX games on a small rack in the corner. I had to ask the clerk where it was. I didn't notice where the gamecube gamse were, but they are probably hanging out in the case with the GBA games.

I just got an XBOX (not 360), and I'm looking for some 2-player co-op games.

The PS2 games that we have played are Baldur's Gate, Champions of Norrath, X-men, etc. Are there similar games available for XBOX?

In my opinion, the rear speakers are essential for true surround sound. There are a few systems out there that claim to have surround sound from only the front speakers, but they are mediocre at best. The rear speakers mainly provide the ambient noises, like people noises if the scene in a movie takes place in a train station or something. Occasionally sound will move from the front speakers to the back, like when a TIE fighter flies at and then past you - so you get a more 3-D sound effect. Most of the speech will come from your front center speaker, so there won't be constant noise coming from behind your head (except when the speaker is off-screen, or to the right or left of the camera). Most set-ups even recommend aiming the speakers away from the couch, to bounce the sound off of the walls.

You can get some cheap stick-on tracks to run cable along your floorboards without it being too obvious, if you don't want to run it under the carpet. Stay away from wireless. The quality just isn't there yet, and the interference and buzzing noises will drive you crazy.
