If you have any Pixar films on DVD, they have a stripped-down version of a calibration setup that gets pretty decent results. Not as in depth as the other DVDs mentioned in the previous post, but hey - who doesn't own a copy of The Incredibles?

Check your speaker setup settings. On your remote is a button labelled "format" or "mode" or something like that. You want to make sure it isn't set to 3.1 or "front speaker only". If it works some of the time, it is a configuration error. If you put in a DVD, and you have double checked your configuations, you may have crossed some wires somewhere.

If it is a really cheap system, it may only have surround sound when you play DVDs. Generally though, most systems can convert signals into at least stereo sound.

type the IP address into your internet browser address bar: 192.168.1.1

You'll need a username and password to access the router setup. If you don't remember it, you will need to do a hard reset on the router - somewhere on the physical router is a small button to reset back to factory defaults. Log in with the username/password combo, and you will be able to change your WEP code to whatever you want.

According to this site http://www.abccables.com/info-hdmi-max-length.html, the maximum length is 50 feet, depending on the quality of cable.

I hadn't thought about making the TV the primary monitor. I'll give that a try.

Thanks!

The newer games have options that you can tweak to make the game look better on HDTV's. Ratchet & Clank: up your arsenal has a setting for progressive scan that makes it look significantly better. God of War 2 has a high-def code that you can enter that makes it look better, though I didn't notice that much of a difference as the game already looked spectacular. Dragon Quest looked a lot more pixelated on HD, but after a while you get used to it and don't notice it.

After a while, you get adjusted to it, and it is no problem. You won't be getting next-gen graphics out of the PS2 anyways, regardless of which TV you use.

I'm connecting my laptop to my 32" Samsung LCD via VGA cable. I'm primarily interested in watching Netflix "Watch Now" on the TV instead of on the computer screen. The TV displays the computer screen great, except it only displays in either 4:3 or stretched out to 16:9. I've been unable to display the full widescreen format. I have run the auto-tune under the computer setup in the Samsung menu, and nothing happens.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Check out this site: www.antennaweb.org. It will tell you everything you need to know about the channels in your area. Start with the cheaper antennas first. If you don't get the channels you want, return it and get a more expensive model. Worst case is that you'll need to manually rotate the antenna each time you change the channel. If you get a decent mulit-directional antenna, that shouldn't be much of a problem.

If you live in the middle of nowhere, you may need to get a single directional antenna which will pretty much require you to manually adjust it for each channel, or get a motorized rotater.

Good luck!

There is a scene in GoW2 along the same lines as the minigame in GoW. It's hidden in one of the first sections of the game before you go into a fountain or something. Easily skippable as they are hiding behind some wooden shutters.

I think only the lastboss is nude, but she is so grotesquely huge that it doesn't count. I don't recall any oracle nudity in this one at all, if so, it was very fleeting.

Overall, I think there was far less nudity in the second GoW than there was in the first one.

I've got a Samsung 37in LCD TV, and I have a laptop pretty much permanently attached to it. All you need are the blue-tipped VGA cables, and some sort of sound cable if you want to listen to your computer through your TV (or other sound system setup).

The only problem I've run into with my particular Samsung is that I can only view the computer in 4X3 mode, the 16X9 mode stretches the screen out horizontally. I'm sure it has something to do with my laptop resolution, but I haven't been able to figure it out yet.
