Kaspersky. Absolutely the best anti-virus software I have ever used. Of course, it's pricey but the protection and detection it has provided makes up for it. I have seriously nothad one virus, trojan, or malware program ever infect my computer. And I've been using this for 2 years now; That's amazing.

That's actually a common misconception with antivirus programs. (Most, including Kaspersky), don't prevent viruses, they only detect them when one infects your computer. Therefore, an not having a virus in years can mean one of two things:

1) You know how to properly use the internet without clicking on any bad links

2) Your anti-virus program isn't detecting existing viruses on your computer.

Still, Kaspersky offers really good protection, so it's probably the 1st case, but it's way too heavy for my tastes.

I think the media needs to play a bigger part. We need more attractive, in shape role models to give people the impression you need to be in shape to be well liked and popular.

then over weight people, and plus size models will say "Not everyone is meant to be skinny, being plus sized is great, and kids shouldn't be pressured to be skinny! We love our bodies for what they are!!11!1"

I think he was being sarcastic. That kind of thinking leads to eating disorders.

The world is coming to an end. Seriously, this has been the most ridiculous weather ever. Do you agree?

Guybrush_3
Yeah, it was really cold down in Houston over the weekend. And we got snow twice over the winter. Something which only happens once every 6 or 7 years lol.

Is your TV 120Hz? If so, that might be why.

santoron

Actually, a 120Hz TV would display the motion correctly, 60hz TVs are the ones that distort the motion on a 24 fps source. On a 60Hz TV, your TV will need to do a 3:2 pulldown. A 60Hz TV will show 60 frames every second, and the blu-ray player will output 24 frames every second. Since 60 does not divide into 24 evenly, the TV will show one frame 3 times, the next frame 2 times, and it will repeat this 8 times every second (5*8=60). As a result, the motion can seem a little weird. On a 120hz however, all it will have to do is show each of the 24 frames 5 times (24*5=120). That way each frame will get equal display time and the motion won't get distorted.

That should be 12 times a second since 5*8=40, but well presented otherwise.

Ah, stupid mistake, and thanks! :)
Yeah, New York is a lot lower than I expected too. It's probably because of all the people living in projects...
No as long as you don't leave it paused for a long time then you'll be good. Even then, LCD's usually don't have a lot of problems with image burning, that's usually something for plasma owners to worry about.
