[QUOTE="Teufelhuhn"][QUOTE="Shame-usBlackley"][QUOTE="EdgecrusherAza"] No doubt. This is the Sony I wanted to see. Taking competition seriously and earning their support. But Halo 3, unimpressive Blackley? Geez, lol. Killzone definitely LOOKS better, but I still think Halo 3 looked more than good enough.
They really impressed me with the 1st-party stuff, most of it looked really solid. Hell, I saw more 1st-party Sony stuff that I liked than I did even for Nintendo. For the first time yet I'm actually seriously considering nabbing a PS3 soon.
Oilers, thanks for the reply. That's what I figured, but just wanted to be sure.

I had Halo 3 playing on my 360 and Killzone running off the less-than-stellar GameVideos, and the contrast between the two was simply jaw-dropping from just about every angle. Halo had some bad animation, too - check out the Brute picking up the human, when he's talking about turning the planet to glass. Some of the Warthog scenes look like they're straight out of the beta, too.
I'm not saying Halo was ugly or anything, only that it was outshined big time. BIG TIME. There's a generation's worth of difference between the visuals of the two games in my opinion.
Absolutely. Halo 3 is obviously part of a AAA franchise and has the advantage of pedigree, but Sony has managed to create a trailer that says "you better take us seriously, Bungie!". The production values in the cutscenes and gameplay are just on a whole new level, and manages to convey the tension and excitement even when you're just watching a video. Hopefully Bungie and MS didn't decide they could just coast on by with H3, because its quite clear that Son yand GG are taking the FPS genre quite seriously this time around.KZ2 sure looked great, but some of us still haven't forgotten that fiasco with the original KZ2 trailer, this one looks more real, but you never know. Once proven a liar, its difficult to recover from that.
Second, Guerilla has much to prove. Guerilla's works to date have left much to be desired with the decidedly mediocre first Killzone game and their other bomb, Shellshock. I'll hold off on joining the bandwagon until I see some real actual gameplay.
You do realize that the game was playable and impressions are everywhere? It also seems that the producer played the game for the crowd while everyone watching got the extended trailer.
