Even from a mile a way a blind elephant could see that pc graphics are in another league than your little consoles! Unless ofcourse you enjoy jaggy edges and blurry textures?

Depends what game you play. Day Z hackers destroyed for me and im just back from a game of Crysis 2 multiplayer where hackers are a fairly common and annoying occurrence. In games like Counter strike or battlefield however hackers are generally swiftly dealt with assuming the server you are on has decent admins!

[QUOTE="indzman"]

I'm anticipating Bioshock Infinite more than Crysis 3. Crysis 3 graphics 'll rock over Bioshock Infinite no doubt, but Bioshock infinite will make up with solid gameplay, story, rpg elements and choices over Crysis 3... imo.

Which game you anticipating most ? Crysis 3 or Bioshock Infinite ?

slugger909
Definitely bioshock infinite, even with the steaming pile of crap that was bioshock 2.

I for one enjoyed bioshock 2 more than bioshock 1! The combat was much more dynamic and fun! As for the question, Crysis 3 actually has me hyped with the setting, they have a chance here to really make amends for the very mediocre Crysis 2! That said the gameplay still feels just like Crysis 2 which is very disappointing. Bioshock infinite on the other hand is shaping up to be a masterpiece!

Am I the only one who thought that Super mario galaxy one was merely "very good"...definitely no where near the same league as ocarina of time when it came out. My Lord that game blew my mine. Granted I havent played galaxy 2 yet but I doubt it is THAT much better than 1!

[QUOTE="Zeviander"][QUOTE="dom2000"] Many artists, musicians, tradespeople, writers, etc. don't have very good math or science skills because they are gifted in other areas.

Well then we get into the definition of "intelligence"...its a tough question. I guess its a left vs right brain...logic vs creativity
[QUOTE="dom2000"]Well put it this way if someone is truly smart why would they have trouble with maths or science? Especially if we are only considering secondary school level? There is NO reason why someone who is able to gather and retain information and apply it to other relatively similar situations (aka what an intelligent person could do) would struggle in these subjects. I personally cannot understand it. Zeviander

Are sports stars "smart" because they are good at their sport? Is having good co-ordination or a good sense of rhythm and an ear for music "intelligence"? All i know is I find it very difficult to consider somebody smart if they achieved very poorly at school unless ofcourse they put in absolutely NO effort at all. That said, from my experience, everybody I have met that put very little effort into school, it became clear to me it was because they were unable to pick up the concepts easily and it started a self defeating cycle of "this is stupid, I cant be bothered doing this"

[QUOTE="MrGeezer"][QUOTE="dom2000"] I disagree. Not everyone is able to recognise and apply these simple rules to different but similar situations or else everybody would ace maths..true? What do you think accounts for this difference in acquisition and application of knowledge? Intelligence.

Certain people obviously have natural talents in certain areas, but most of it just comes down to work. At least, at lower levels. Lots of people just put in the time and effort to get good at it. Hell, if anything...someone who has to work hard to learn the material can often be at an advantage over an "intelligent" person who just picks it up easily. The person who has to work and study hard in order to learn actually sort of gets good at working and studying. Whereas a "more intelligent" person might skate by easily for a long time without putting in any real effort, and then it's like running into a brick wall once they inevitably encounter some area or topic that they have trouble with.

Fantastic post! A less intelligent person who works hard will do better at most things than the more intelligent yet less hard working person. This much is clear. The time taken to learn and/or pick up concepts I think definitely relates to intelligence. A guy who spends say 5 hours to get 70% in a test is definitely smarter in my mind than the guy who spends 20 hours to get 75%. I love your analogy of "getting good at working and studying" , it is so true! Im the other type, with regards to how I achieved at school I work much less than others around my same level but now that I am at university doing one of the most demanding courses Im simply an average student despite rather arrogantly considering myself more clever than the vast majority in my year. But since I have gone through almost my entire life not working particularly hard, I am not able to put the work and effort in required to achieve what I feel I should be able. I also love to party a little too much! I also thankfully haven't hit that brick wall yet :)

[QUOTE="jointed"]Math has got nothing to do with being smart. It's all about learning simple rules, just like grammar in a foreign language. I thought I sucked at math before began a taxation law class at university. I had to take an introductory math class to be able to join it and unlike high school I was forced to get through it. I ended up getting the highest grades in class simply because I used a different book explaining derivatives from an alternative view point than the book I used in high school. A correlation between being smart and being good at math can only be drawn at university levels when abstract late-engineering concepts start playing a role.

I love Matrix Reloaded, much more than the original. Some of the best action sequences in cinema - IMHO.

Love the highway scene.

Agree, I dont understand why the 2nd one gets hating on so much, it was awesome! The 3rd though....the less said about it the better!
