[QUOTE="SaltyMeatballs"]I think that is more for PC gamers to read, because believe me most consoles gamers do not give a crap about most of the games listed. I think they went too far into trying to make PC games look unique even though it has other more appealing games for console gamers.Jankarcop
Thats a real pity you know... most of those games are actually very very good to extremely amazing except for Second Life.
I guess some people find their fandoms and allegiences more important than playing good/amazing games. It's even worse for those diehard fans, since pc has more exclusives than all consoles combined...every gen, and then some.
There are very good to extremely good if you like rpg and strategy games! If you dont i doubt you would enjoy them that much[QUOTE="savagetwinkie"][QUOTE="Master_ShakeXXX"]is FG the amnesia devs? because truth be told I never really saw penumbra or amnesia as straight survival horror, more of a cross between adventure and survival horror, starts off an a house, you barely have an idea of what to do, and I wish the sanity meeter was more subtle with its effects. It is survival horror in its purist form :? You have nothing to protect yourself with. Those 3 games are the only survival horror today.FG seems to be the only developer releasing "pure" horror games, but like I said in the OP, they don't sell well. Dead Space is the only horror franchise right now that actually sells. People like to refer to them as action titles, but they still retain the jump scares and atmospheric qualities of a survival horror game. On the higher difficulties they could very well be considered a survival horror game.

Unfortunately after playing the penumbra seris (which was awesome btw) amnesia was a massive disappointment, still a good game...but just good! I found it to be very predictable and devoid of any real challenge (only died once the whole game and that was at the end) and therefore not very scary! Hope FG really shake things up for their next game!
[QUOTE="mitu123"]I also preferred PD to GE. Although both were good games. PD was fantastic..not just good! Theres so much thats great in that game and this is coming from my "lofty pc gaming fps standards"! Probably the best console fps ever made, at least the best i have ever played.Perfect Dark is better anyways.

[QUOTE="theuncharted34"]okay.
The problem is, the graphics aren't the only thing getting updated. ;)Darth_DuMas
That might be true but remakes also need to be in the right hands. Even if it was Rare remaking it it still wouldn't be the same because they suck now. Do you really trust the game in the hands of Activision?
You sound like you haven't played Goldeneye 007 on the Wii. Apart from a few flaws, it's actually really good and is the best game i've played on the system. It's not a remake of the Rare game, it has nothing to do with that except it's based on the same movie.
But all fps games eventually struggle. I can't play the original Half Life, I even tried Half Life Source I just couldn't play it.
But the port of the N64 version of Perfect Dark on XBLA is actually really good.
I agree all fps eventually become too dated to be enjoyed without nostalgia....except System shock 2, i played it for the first time a few weeks ago and its still awesome to this day! Deux Ex on the other hand, i cant say i enjoyed that much at all...i couldnt even complete it!30 fps maybe acceptable for a controller but a mouse and keyboard....eugh.."feels" nasty! You can instantly tell when the frame rate drops around to 45 from 60, the difference is very noticeable imo espically if u are used to 60fps. And lol come on 60fps looks worse than 30 fps? Theres something i havent heard before ^^
Fear>Bioshock 2>Fear 2>Bioshock>Fear 3Judging on gameplay, FEAR. And FEAR 3 is much better.
Judging by your signature, Bioshock 2. It has better gameplay than the first one and allows you to fool around with a large variety of weapons and, uh, spells. If you're looking for tactical shooters and are creative, get Bioshock 2.
