[QUOTE="dom2000"]Right now pc has 95,732 players online, ps3 has 134,501 and 360 has 203,321! Its kinda sad that this game, were development was focused mostly on pc and had MASSIVE hype from pc gamers, still was significantly outsold by consoles! Confirms what I already know....though some hermits seem to want to deny...that consoles outsell pc in the majority of multiplats especially those that are "high budget"! And no chart showing how much money pc gaming brings in is going to convince me otherwise! That said to me sales mean nothing to me...and pc gets the best versions of the games so thats my platform of choice! I just hate when people inflate how much games actually sell on pc....if that were the case pc versions of games would not be delayed and pc would have more high budget exclusives than the very few they have now!ShadowDeathX
Lets see. It is near past midnight in Europe and Asia....where PC gaming outdoes Console gaming. Go look at the Steam activity chart. Numbers start going downwards around this time.

OK...i will check tomorrow at a more modest time to see how much the story changes! If the pc numbers rise above the consoles (which i HIGHLY doubt) i will admit i just got owned

Rofl. Their "third party sources" is vgchartz. You guys can go home now. Nothing to see here.

nunovlopes

Well based on current online players, which logically as least somewhat correlates to total sales, they are not far off!

No they are not. And online players don't correlate with sales. Proof? Look at the Wii.

With a game that the majority of players brought for multiplayer? Um...yea i think it does (somewhat). The Wii is completely different.....why even bring it up?

Well...going by the numbers of seeders on a well known piracy website....pc piracy is FAR worse than consoles and FAR worse than psp! There is literally no comparison! Pc seeders is on average 100x that of the xbox360!

Ok every pirate is not a lost sale....but to say that a significant number of pirates would have brought had they been unable to pirate is not a stretch imo...though ofcourse it depends on the game! A great single player only game like Skyrim should be, will be pirated to hell and back and i think its likely alot of those pirates would have brought the game if they had no other choice! But from their point of view, why buy it if i can get it for free?

[QUOTE="PC360Wii"][QUOTE="locopatho"]I didn't bother reading the responses to this thread cos it's just gonna be the usual mix of normal "That's awful :(" and the hilarious "Piracy isn't a problem, it's fine that millions of copies were robbed, it doesn't mean lost money, look at my internet business degree!!!!!" type of thing. I feel sad when good games aren't paid for

Never said it wasnt a problem. but its an unbeatable problem that doesnt just effect this industry, and in spite of it an industry that is still thriving every year. so in all honesty, il say it again, dont care that much for this "news" but what the TC and haters dont understand while it is easy to pirate and is large on PC, its due to there being a much larger playerbase on PC than any individual console or even combined maybe... so sales are high and so is piracy. if both wernt? now that would be a problem, but its not the case. BC2 was heavily pirated and WAS playable online unlike BF3 ... and yet sold more on PC. so really, nothing to cry over for us. sure more profit would be ideal for the company, but just like used game pirates, im sure moraility isnt a real concern to neither. just like music "its not about the money right?"

The xbox360 version of BC" outsold the pc....just to let you know :)

Well, not taking the majority of the overprescribed medications, including any and all Statin type drugs for cholesterol and flu vaccines is a start. They've just ran another study that shows that people with higher cholesterol not only live longer, but have less incidence of heart disease, stroke, and heart attacks. All of the propoganda at work.

Sunfyre7896
Vs the 1000s of studies that demonstrate that higher cholestrol increases the risk of cardovascular complications.....

[QUOTE="sethman410"][QUOTE="tenaka2"]

I am talking about the piss poor effort they made with crysis 2, which they themselves admited to.

tenaka2

Blame piracy

Crytek tried to blame piracy also.

However Crysis 1 sold more then Crysis 2 did and Crysis 2 is on 3 platforms.

Well Crysis 1 has been out for years longer and has had plenty of price cuts and steam sales to bump up the sales! Im sure after 4 years Crysis 2 will have sold over 3 million.
