Does the game have a point? Like story goals or anything, or is it just 'go to a planet and build something, go to another and do it again'?
Apparently, it's suppose to be about getting to the center of the universe. There's suppose to be a story, but they say there's no dialogue or cutscenes, so i don't know how that'll work.
Has for the rest of the content, there's no quests or missions.
Hmm. Won't that make it difficult to like, care about any of the stuff that's happening in any way?
Yeah, pretty much.
I've been uninterested in NMS because of this.
Apparently, the only gameplay elements are to mine resources, which then can only be used to upgrade your armor and weapon.
You get money for everything, since there doesn't seem to be any actual content liek missions, and use that money to upgrade your ship.
From what i've read, you can't craft a ship, only buy new ones. And, again not sure, you can't upgrade individual parts at all.
Everything about the i've read so far sounds like an exploration game around randomly generated planets, without any deepth.
The issue is, the devs said themselves less than 10% of the planets will have any life at all.
Oh is it a 'minecraft' in space with ships? Count me out.
The sooner the crafting/procedurally generated fad dies out the better.
