@justenw37

You're blaming the Unreal Engine for the flaws in the Alien vs Predator game??? I'd say it was design flaws nothing to do with the engine.

You can't really blame the game engine for a bad game, they have full C++ access and can modify and make the engine work in anyway they want. If there's bugs/flaws in it then I'd say blame the developer.

Did you even mean AvP or are you on about that disgrace that is Colonial Marines as I don't even know what bugs/flaws you're refering to?

I've used both UDK and Cryengine and I would say there isn't really that much difference in terms of what they can do, Cryengine wins with real time dynamic lighting but as developers are now using UE4 that does have this feature then they are both pretty much at the same tech level.

Basically you've just made something up to sound clever there without really knowing what you're talking about.

Thankfully I'm not American so I don't have to put up with Walmart but I know what you're saying, heard many things about them. (I don't mean thankfully I'm not American as in hating on America)

An old friend who I used to work with at Eidos used to say about every EA game, "the illusion of depth". sounds good on the box, looks nice on the screenshots, shallow as zhit gameplay.

as for Bioware, to me they and the Mass Effect games sums up everything that I dislike about modern games. I know its all opinion and everyone is not going to like the same things but I just don't get it. It gives the illusion of this massive free roaming game when in actual fact there's no freedom whatsoever, you can't jump or climb up even the smallest of ledges, you can only get your gun out in specified areas, there's hardly any chests or things to open and find, no real exploration is needed. The fighting is just awful. The Illusion of depth....looks like its a massive, open living breathing world but in actual fact alls i ever did was feel really constrained.

I just want to grab these people, place a copy of Baldurs Gate 1 and 2 in their hands and just say 'just play this mate and you'll understand what computer games used to be like'. Jeez I'd even go round for free and install all the mods for them.

Help us CDPR you are our only hope.........

These really are the only people left in the world who seem to remember what made games good in the first place.

Loved my copy of the witcher 2 I got on release day, a massive box with loads of stuff in it, maps, manuals, some pointless coin that I accidently mistook for a 5p and tried to use in a shop once and got a funny look.

Like the good old days when opening the box of a game and reading the manual was just as exciting as playing the game itself and added to the whole experience. The good old days of getting Frontier: Elite 2 and getting a story book with loads of mini stories, a hundred odd page flight manual and a giant map of the entire galaxy. I might not know where my Amiga copy is but I sure as hell still have that galaxy map and manuals.

yay EA!

After Battlefield 3 release on the PC fiasco I can happily say I've never brought and never will buy another EA product. Hated them for the past 20 years anyway, buying up everything and ruining everything they get their hands on. Paying their rubbish wages and working people to an early grave.

EA is the devil. Burn them.

I wish Crysis would die, most overated piece of toss I've ever played.

Ah no actually that was Dragon Age 2 but I try to forget that exists.

Please god may be the single player campaign actually work this time. Flashpoint through to Arma 2 were amazing yet somehow utterly rubbish at the same time. Weirdest games I've ever played.

ah ok I thought Gearbox was formed from the people who made the Counter Strike mod originally but if Gearbox did Condition Zero then I've changed my mind and agree with you, rubbish company :)

@Stonecutters908 @Stebsis @Seifer24

I agree that 99% of games these days are cack and disapointing but in Gearbox's defence they made Counter Strike so saying everything they've done is subpar is just pure drivel, they've had a massive effect on gaming.

They didn't make Duke Nukem they only finished it off after the company went under so can't really blame them for that. Blame them for taking it on I suppose when they didn't stand a chance of making it decent. I thought this Colonial Marines game was made by someone else aswell for the most part, I swear Gearbox took over this project aswell.

If anything I wouldn't say Gearbox themselves were rubbish but whoevers in charge of decision making needs a good slap.

@NINJASMOKER @dovonob

What is this rubbish anyway is it just like Ninja Gaiden Black as in just the original game with some added bits? Never had a playstation so never played any of the Sigma versions?

If I'm honest ninja gaiden 3 is quite possibly the most disapointing piece of crap sequel to any game I've ever played. It made me want to cut myself. Wasn't overly impressed with 2 either to be honest but at least it sort of still felt like ninja gaiden 1.
