@jerseycarter15

you're commenting on a video game review website for a game you don't even like, and somehow you aren't also a nerd? and you're right, the game isn't for you, because it requires a certain level of intelligence to enjoy.

@Droman6969 Kinect has voice recognition software, your microphone just amplifies and transmits random sounds that it cannot interpret. If the Xbox itself had this, without Kinect, then the microphone could probably be used, but that is not the case.

@TomMcShea Why does Gamespot not address that our problem with the game's end is entirely related to plot holes and the inability to understand the ending? If the ending were bad but obeyed the rules that the universe has set, then that would just be a shame but no one would be so vehemently upset about this. And, the false advertising by EA. BioWare promised us no "Lost" type endings, and a heavy amount of influence on how it all finished. Meanwhile, even three seemingly drastically different endings are presented in exactly the same way. Why does no one on this website ever acknowledge the real reasons we don't like this? It isn't art when you paint outside the canvas you chose for yourself. P.S. Many of us don't even want an ending change as badly as just an explanation by an employee in a video so that we can understand what happened and why it's able to happen.

It's literally exhausting to read people calling us entitled....you know what? We are entitled to an ending which obeys the laws that the first 100 hours of gameplay establish. Which are then ignored in the most important, last ten minutes. The blatant advertising lies....I mean please, guys. Kevin-V, you're normally a reasonable guy and I agree with you most of the time. Gamespot should write an article that ACTUALLY encapsulates the reasons we don't like this ending. Has nothing to do with happy or sad. I'll write the article even, I'm so sick of the misrepresentation and the way we're painted by game media.

Please.....stop pretending this is about the ending's quality. It has to do with Bioware in the last ten minutes of their game ignoring their own universe's lore, themes and rules. We were promised an effect on the endings, and we didn't get it. We were lied to by BioWare trying to hype this game. The theme is diversity, all races working coop, yet the best ending is removing diversity with synthesis. Exactly what the villain of ME1 wanted....why kill Saren? The plot holes... Joker crashing on some planet randomly with the squad I just was using on the ground who should all be dead. The Reapers control the Citadel....they could have disabled ME relays even before the fleet engaged, which is plot hole #2. The bad logic, the inexplicable reasons for the existence of the Crucible. If the Reapers protect organics by killing them, why don't they just kill the synthetics? Why do the green and blue bursts destroy the Normandy when only the red, which destroys all tech, should be able to? GS has nothing but criticism for the people who don't like the endings and don't even represent us in any meaningful way. Most of us don't even want this new ending right now....people screaming for new endings was after the first few days....most of us now just wanted an in-depth explanation of what happened, some clarity. Stop painting this picture that we're unreasonable savages who just spew hatred.

Wow didn't even make the connection of the collar around her neck covering an Adam's Apple. And yeah I agree, if I didn't know she was transgender I definitely would have thought she was a woman for a fact. And she's hot.

As for homosexuality, it's just a sexual preference. Is it genetically dictated? Who knows, not me. But what I do know is that very few people are 100% straight or 100% gay almost as small a number as people who are asexual, according to Kinsey (look up: Kinsey Scale). Add that to homosexuality in nature (monkeys, penguins, etc.) and I'm pretty sure it isn't a choice. Plus masculine and feminine features are so subjective to the person looking. While I find women attractive, I've certainly seen convincing photos of men who are dressed up as women with makeup because they have feminine features. There are also women with incredibly masculine features who could definitely pull of looking like a man. What does that mean? I don't know. But I know it's not my place to say what's right for anyone else. I'll stick with trying to get laid by one of the many girls I see in my classes. And if all of a sudden I suddenly come to the realization I'm attracted to a man? I'll live with it. I just don't care enough to make a fuss and ruin other people's lives. And if you believe God finds it wrong? Then let God punish them, not you. As the bible says, Let he who is without sin cast the first stone. Original sin means no one is prepared to make judgments.

Should they be allowed to do it? Of course, it's their body and if you employ someone whose willing to do surgery for you, go ahead. But allow me to maintain my right to feel uncomfortable without making me feel like I'm from the Middle Ages....this isn't exactly common, and forcing tolerance upon people is actually more intolerant than trying to garner sympathy for your obviously difficult experience with this.

Comparing Mass Effect to the works of Salman Rushdie or Monet is completely worthless because the latter two never promised us to do something and then went against that promise. They didn't establish rules for painting or writing and then blatantly ignore them the way the lore in Mass Effect was ignored. They don't have mediums intended to be manipulated by the viewers, so they take full ownership of it in a way BioWare cannot. They didn't manipulate their artwork so they could sell you more of it later on for a heavily inflated fee. You don't spend over a hundred hours taking in either of the two works mentioned above. And their stuff is generally considered good, while BioWare's endings are generally considered bad. Not even from a quality perspective as much as the perspective of, oh, they ignored the lore and their own created universe to be controversial in some way. That's nice. People who are not as familiar with the story and don't care about it as much may find it okay, but frankly I haven't heard one defense of the ending that's been anything but "OH ITS NOT DIZNEY SO YOU DONT LIKE IT STUPID!!!!!1!" No, it just doesn't follow the narrative. They promised us an ending that wasnt like "Lost," yet we need theory to explain the ends. And if one theory is true, then the content in question is excellent and we still lack an ending.

I hated the ending, but there are two schools of thought; one, the ending is terrible, so they'll just leave it and we'll all have to move on. Two is that due to plot specific events which would spoil it for others, the story has no ending. If the first option is the case, fine. But if the second is right, then EA and BioWare have an obligation, not a choice, to fix the ending of a game they promised would be an ending. Of course the second possibility is less likely, but it makes the most sense based on how EA has handled this whole thing. If you finished the game you can look up one of the ME3 interpretations of the ending to understand more what I mean, and if not, finish the game and decide whether or not you're satisfied with it.
