Here are a couple choices for Ram that are free shipping and a few dollars cheaper then the G.Skill

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820227189

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145590

if you check on newegg for the different components you need you can click on free shipping on the left hand side and it will show you everything in that catagory that offers free shipping and you can price compair against the stuff without free shipping..

Also this gpu is a little cheaper for the same performance as the previous suggested one

I hope this helps

When choosing the 4870 does the make of the card matter much or more about the specs on it?

I have looked at several cards on newegg and do not know if one brand is recommended more then another..so I am asking everyones input about this, thanks

you might want to check on the voltage issue, I have a compaq (HP) laptop that I bought right before christmas and it has a built in switch for the voltage so I can use it in the US as well as other countries, I found in my search that most laptops have this capability

I checked Gigabytes web site for cpu suppor for the motherboard that was suggested and it lists the Phenom II 920 and 940 as being supported so you should have no problems at all with it. here is the site if you want to check it out.. sorry I couldnt get the direct link to work so you will have to copy and paste to your browser http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/Support/Motherboard/CPUSupport_List.aspx?ProductID=2813

I have had to do this many times because of hard drive and motherboard changes and once you have your xp loaded if it did not register it will give you the 30 day to register option, just click on the register by phone and choose your region, it will give you a phone number to call and a set of numbers if I recall it will be about 40 numbers you will have to read them numbers off to the automated system and it will tell you if it can register your copy, it it cannot then stay on the line and an operator will give you a new set of numbers to enter to register your copy, as long as you tell them that you did a hardware change and that it is only installed on one computer.. I hope this made sence,,
