Some mother boards are 20pin and some are 24 pin plugs, just make sure your power supply has the right connection for your needs. some power supplies are 20 pin + 4 for power and some are 24 pin. if you have a 20 pin motherboard make sure the motherboard plug is a 20 pin or a 20+4 pin, I have seen some power supplies that have a strick 24 pin connector

If you check the Gigabyte cpu support page for that board it is compatable with the tri core processor and also compatable with the Phenom II quad core's if he ever wanted to upgrade to that in the future

It would depend on how much the shipping is at TigerDirect because Newegg has it with free shipping, if it was within like $5 or so I would buy the one at Newegg. plus you could be pretty sure to get all your parts at the same time that way. Also you might to look at this PSU it is the same price as your choice once the rebate is applied and it is 100w more power with more connectors, just an option http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139005

I have the multiplier on 15.5x the fsb at 250 and the cpu v at 1.42, I think I can still get more out of the fsb since I am only at 840 on it but I want to make sure it is real stable where it is at..

I have bought from TigerDirect before when the price was a lot cheaper then Newegg and I have always had good service using them, You can use the XP 32 bit OS with no problems but you will only be able to use 3GB of your ram because that is all 32 bit will see. but it should not cause you any trouble, I used xp with 4gb of ram for over a year before I finaly upgraded..

Also on your link I see your paying for the guaranted 3 day ups service, if any of your parts have the Free shipping offer, newegg usually has them shipped out within a day and I have always gotten my parts within 3 days using there free shipping so that is something that might save you some money also

Thanks to everyones suggestions and alot of reading guides online I have my Phenom II 940 running at 3.72GHz and it seems to be pretty stable right now, I ran Prime95 for 2 hours and my temps where 31c idle and topped out at 46c under full load. I will run it for longer tonight and also run a few other test programs just to make sure before I try to go any higher

even if I have my multiplier at 15x which is default it will not boot with fsb at 210 if I turn my multiplier down to about 10x it will boot, I found a guide on overclockers forum that tests the max oc of every component on your rig so I am going to print that off and try each thing to see where the max settings are at so I have some idea what level will cause it to be unstable Thanks for your help
