Preppy girls don't think of loner guys. Like, at all. Trust me, when they look at you, they aren't thinking about your (supposed) wonderfully-interesting personality. They aren't thinking whether you're some kind of deviant pervert. They don't think about you at all.

The moment you understand this is the moment you will realize you need to stop being a loner and get out there.

If thats really how you feel than have fun working at McDonalds.

I know people who have dropped out of high school and make 2 times as much and someone who graduated college.

And that's how you prove that going to college is a joke?

I know people who, straight out of graduating with their Masters (24-25 year olds), were making 100k Euro's a year working in Credit Suisse.

This is the problem with Crysis.Call it the best game all you want, it's was coded in a very LOUSY way. Nothing else. There are SO many games that look almost as good, if not matching, the beauty of Crysis (Far Cry 2, Call of Duty 4), and yet they can all run so much better than Crysis on even older PC systems. You know why they chose Ubisoft to develop Far Cry 2 instead of choosing Crytek (who developed the original Far Cry)? Because they knew that Ubisoft would create a much more efficient game engine that would match the visuals at a much more affordable and available price and performance level.

Crysis, in that respect, is a lousy game. It has a lousy code, it has lousy optimization, making it a lousy game. You know a game is lousy when you need a freaking $8000 dollar Falcon North-West Mach V to run it at barely 60fps...While a $1500 PC will run Far Cry 2 at 60fps with the same resolution.

If it was better optimized and they cleaned up the code significantly, I could see Crysis going to the PS3 and even the XBOX 360.

Farcry 2 and COD4 cannot compare to crysis, crysis doesnt run badly because its poorly optimized, its one of the only games that really pushes both GPU and CPU. The detail is unmatched by any other game. Dont insult the Cryengine by comparing it to the Dunia engine.

I almost spilled the coffee I was drinking when I read this post. Are you one of the people that actually bought Crysis (with the two or three others in the thread who responded negatively to my comment) and feel the need to defend it because you paid for a lousy game that runs like crap? Are you some kind of Crytek employee ("Dont insult the Cryengine by comparing it to the Dunia engine")? Did I hit a nerve with my post? I tried Crysis on a friends PC the first day it came out (he custom built a $2500 PC) and although it was fine to play at 1920x1200, but I could never understand why it couldn't run it at a steady 60fps.

Flame me all you want. The joke is on you, you actually paid for the most over-hyped game ever made. It doesn't even have a great storyline. It's like Crytek wanted to make a showcase of all the crap they had created with the CryEngine and crammed it all into a half-a$$ed game.

When you need $8000 to barely run the game at 60fps...something's up.

First year of college by far. I entered when I was 17 (much too young), was in a completely new country, new culture, new people. Away from all my best friends and family, suffered from chronic depression, retreated from everything by secluding myself in my room and limiting myself to going out only when I needed to eat.

It was the worst year of my life and, yet, the year I learned the most in my life. I learned so much about life, about myself, my strengths, and also my many weaknesses.

Decided to reboot, so to say, by starting a whole new (far more interesting) career in a new country closer to family and it's been great.

Pretty....pretty average. At best. Looks like 95% of high-schoolers that come to visit the university I study in with their class tours.

I study about 15 minutes a week and still manage to get through college with mid-to-high B's. It's all about how much of the info you can soak in during lectures, and how well you can deduce and interpret the information to make it seem as if you actually understand it. It requires a deep understanding of grammatical structure and the syntax of outlining an effective paper: a topic, a theme, and how it unfolds. Since you are more than likely going to remember something you forgot to include in the beginning, you add this and then write about the way the idea develops in the conclusion.
