@Phooey442: Really, wow? I used to love this site because I found so many community members who were rational and inspirational to some extent.

You're talking about the fanboys though. Maybe I didn't see them because I was distracted by thoughtful conversations from other people.

@superklyph: @Celtic_34 It's only been a few years since Gamespot had a great community. Critical thinkers were the norm, not the exception.

@superklyph: Sounds like an early release issue. Could be so much worse :P

@Celtic_34: It's likely different from person to person. We're both basing our conversation on comments from other Gamespot users, I'd imagine.

@Celtic_34: It definitely sounds like you're not responding to anything that I said, but it's all good because I'm entertained by your words. You remind me a lot of myself when I'm drunk, and I've had 6 or 7 drinks tonight so this is certainly a good time.

For fun, let's define vain: "having or showing an excessively high opinion of one's appearance, abilities, or worth." It seems likely that some folks try to make up for their inadequacies by over-valuing their strengths. I can admit that I did that when I was a young artist.

By the definition of vain, it's not too surprising that most vain folks would react poorly to criticism (constructive or not). But I'm curious now, could someone be both vain and open to constructive criticism at the same time? Vain yet humble... is it possible?

@Celtic_34: Fascinating. I'm wondering if you either confused my two word comment for a different one, or simply misunderstood what it was in response to. As a third pondering, maybe you are agreeing with the original comment, but happen to be doing it in an aggressive and perhaps ironic way of speaking... but that seems like a long shot.

Let me clarify on my comment where I said, "Nicely said". This was referring to the common comments I've seen in forums like this where people throw out accusations about the reviewer been paid off or not paid enough because the reviewers preferences didn't happen to align with the viewers.

I thought it was a great observation and it was something that aligns with my preferences, so I'll give it 46 apples out of 2 oranges - "Nicely said"

@edubb85: It might also be interesting to note that Battleborn currently has a rating of 72 on Metacritic while Overwatch has a rating of 94.

@Thanatos2k: The FMVs were good and the story was cool... but I found the battles and exploration to be very tedious and hated the RNG based slot machine system for upgrades and battle tactics. Good story + bad gameplay rarely means a good game for me.
